1 O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

1 Oh Jehová, Dios de las venganzas, oh Dios de las venganzas, muéstrate.

2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

2 Levántate, oh Juez de la tierra; da el pago a los soberbios.

3 LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

3 ¿Hasta cuándo los malvados, hasta cuándo, oh Jehová, se gozarán los malvados?

4 How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

4 ¿Hasta cuándo vociferarán, hablarán cosas duras y se vanagloriarán todos los que hacen iniquidad?

5 They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.

5 A tu pueblo, oh Jehová, aplastan, y a tu heredad afligen.

6 They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

6 A la viuda y al extranjero matan, y a los huérfanos quitan la vida.

7 Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

7 Y dicen: No lo verá JAH, ni lo considerará el Dios de Jacob.

8 Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

8 Entended, necios del pueblo; y vosotros, insensatos, ¿cuándo seréis sabios?

9 He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

9 El que hizo el oído, ¿no oirá? El que formó el ojo, ¿no verá?

10 He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

10 El que disciplina a las naciones, ¿no reprenderá? ¿No sabrá el que enseña conocimiento al hombre?

11 The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

11 Jehová conoce los pensamientos de los hombres, que son vanidad.

12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

12 Bienaventurado el hombre a quien tú, JAH, corriges y en tu ley lo instruyes,

13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

13 para hacerle descansar en los días de aflicción, hasta que para el malvado se cave la fosa.

14 For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

14 Porque no abandonará Jehová a su pueblo, ni desamparará a su heredad,

15 But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

15 sino que el juicio volverá a ser justo, y en pos de él irán todos los rectos de corazón.

16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

16 ¿Quién se levantará por mí contra los malignos? ¿Quién estará por mí contra los que hacen iniquidad?

17 Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

17 Si no me hubiera ayudado Jehová, mi alma habría morado en el silencio.

18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

18 Cuando yo decía: Mi pie resbala, tu misericordia, oh Jehová, me sustentaba.

19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

19 En la multitud de mis inquietudes dentro de mí, tus consolaciones alegran mi alma.

20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

20 ¿Se aliará contigo el trono de la iniquidad, que maquina agravio por decreto?

21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

21 Se juntan contra la vida del justo, y condenan la sangre inocente.

22 But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

22 Mas Jehová me ha sido por defensa, y mi Dios la roca de mi refugio.

23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

23 Y él hará volver sobre ellos su iniquidad, y los destruirá en su propia maldad; los destruirá Jehová nuestro Dios.
