1 I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

1 Las misericordias de Jehová cantaré perpetuamente; de generación en generación haré notoria tu fidelidad con mi boca.

2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.

2 Porque dije: Para siempre será edificada la misericordia; en los cielos mismos establecerás tu fidelidad.

3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,

3 Hice convenio con mi escogido; juré a David, mi siervo, diciendo:

4 Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.

4 Para siempre estableceré tu descendencia, y edificaré tu trono de generación en generación. Selah

5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.

5 Y celebrarán los cielos tus maravillas, oh Jehová, también tu fidelidad en la congregación de los santos,

6 For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?

6 porque, ¿quién en los cielos se comparará con Jehová? ¿Quién entre los hijos de los poderosos será semejante a Jehová?

7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.

7 Dios es temible en la gran congregación de los santos, y formidable sobre todos cuantos están a su alrededor.

8 O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?

8 Oh Jehová Dios de los ejércitos, ¿quién como tú? Poderoso eres, Jehová, y tu fidelidad te rodea.

9 Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.

9 Tú tienes dominio sobre la braveza del mar; cuando se levantan sus olas, tú las calmas.

10 Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.

10 Tú quebrantaste a Rahab como a un herido de muerte; con el brazo de tu poder esparciste a tus enemigos.

11 The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.

11 Tuyos son los cielos, tuya también la tierra; el mundo y su plenitud, tú los fundaste.

12 The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.

12 El norte y el sur, tú los creaste; el Tabor y el Hermón cantarán con gozo en tu nombre.

13 Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.

13 Tuyo es el brazo poderoso; fuerte es tu mano, exaltada tu diestra.

14 Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.

14 La justicia y el juicio son el fundamento de tu trono; la misericordia y la verdad van delante de tu rostro.

15 Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.

15 Bienaventurado el pueblo que sabe aclamarte; andarán, oh Jehová, a la luz de tu rostro.

16 In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.

16 En tu nombre se regocijarán todo el día, y en tu justicia serán enaltecidos.

17 For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.

17 Porque tú eres la gloria de su fuerza, y por tu buena voluntad acrecentarás nuestro poder.

18 For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.

18 Porque Jehová es nuestro escudo; y nuestro rey es el Santo de Israel.

19 Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

19 Entonces hablaste en visión a tu santo y dijiste: Yo he dado socorro a un valiente; he exaltado a un escogido de mi pueblo.

20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:

20 Hallé a David mi siervo; lo ungí con mi aceite santo.

21 With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.

21 Con él mi mano será establecida; también mi brazo lo fortalecerá.

22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.

22 No lo avasallará enemigo, ni hijo de iniquidad lo afligirá.

23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

23 Mas bien yo aplastaré delante de él a sus enemigos, y heriré a sus adversarios.

24 But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.

24 Y mi fidelidad y mi misericordia estarán con él, y en mi nombre será exaltado su poder.

25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

25 Asimismo, pondré su mano sobre el mar, y sobre los ríos su diestra.

26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.

26 Él clamará a mí: Mi padre eres tú, mi Dios, y la roca de mi salvación.

27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.

27 Yo también le haré mi primogénito, el más excelso de los reyes de la tierra.

28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.

28 Para siempre le conservaré mi misericordia, y mi convenio será firme con él.

29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

29 Y estableceré su descendencia para siempre, y su trono como los días de los cielos.

30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;

30 Si dejaren sus hijos mi ley y no anduvieren en mis juicios,

31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;

31 si profanaren mis estatutos y no guardaren mis mandamientos,

32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

32 entonces visitaré con vara su transgresión, y con azotes sus iniquidades.

33 Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.

33 Mas no quitaré de él mi misericordia, ni faltaré a mi fidelidad.

34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

34 No olvidaré mi convenio, ni cambiaré lo que ha salido de mis labios.

35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.

35 Una vez he jurado por mi santidad, y no mentiré a David.

36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.

36 Su descendencia será para siempre, y su trono como el sol delante de mí;

37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.

37 como la luna será firme para siempre, y como un testigo fiel en el cielo. Selah

38 But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.

38 Mas tú has desechado y menospreciado a tu ungido; te has airado con él.

39 Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.

39 Has despreciado el convenio de tu siervo; has profanado su corona hasta la tierra.

40 Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.

40 Has abierto brecha en todos sus muros; has reducido a ruinas sus fortalezas.

41 All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.

41 Lo saquean todos los que pasan por el camino; es oprobio a sus vecinos.

42 Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.

42 Has exaltado la diestra de sus adversarios; has alegrado a todos sus enemigos.

43 Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.

43 Has embotado asimismo el filo de su espada, y no lo has levantado en la batalla.

44 Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.

44 Has hecho cesar su esplendor, y has echado por tierra su trono.

45 The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.

45 Has acortado los días de su juventud; le has cubierto de vergüenza. Selah

46 How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?

46 ¿Hasta cuándo, oh Jehová? ¿Te esconderás para siempre? ¿Arderá tu ira como el fuego?

47 Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?

47 Recuerda cuán breve es mi tiempo. ¿Por qué habrás creado en vano a todos los hijos del hombre?

48 What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.

48 ¿Qué hombre vivirá y no verá muerte? ¿Librarás su alma del poder del Seol? Selah

49 Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?

49 Señor, ¿dónde están tus antiguas misericordias que juraste a David por tu fidelidad?

50 Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;

50 Oh Señor, acuérdate del oprobio de tus siervos, oprobio de muchos pueblos que llevo yo en mi seno,

51 Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

51 con el que tus enemigos, oh Jehová, te han deshonrado, con el que tus enemigos han deshonrado los pasos de tu ungido.

52 Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.

52 ¡Bendito sea Jehová para siempre! Amén y Amén.
