1 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

1 Oh Dios, no guardes silencio; no calles, oh Dios, ni te quedes quieto.

2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

2 Porque, he aquí, rugen tus enemigos, y los que te aborrecen han alzado la cabeza.

3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

3 Contra tu pueblo han consultado astuta y secretamente, y han entrado en consejo contra tus protegidos.

4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

4 Han dicho: Venid y destruyámoslos para que no sean nación, y no haya más memoria del nombre de Israel.

5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

5 Porque a una han conspirado de corazón; contra ti han hecho pacto

6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;

6 las tiendas de Edom y de los ismaelitas, de Moab y de los agarenos,

7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;

7 Gebal, y Amón y Amalec, los filisteos con los habitantes de Tiro.

8 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

8 También Asiria se ha unido a ellos; sirven de brazo a los hijos de Lot. Selah

9 Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:

9 Hazles como a Madián, como a Sísara, como a Jabín en el arroyo Cisón,

10 Which perished at En-dor: they became as dung for the earth.

10 que perecieron en Endor, y fueron convertidos en estiércol para la tierra.

11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:

11 Pon a sus nobles como a Oreb y como a Zeeb; y a todos sus príncipes, como a Zeba y como a Zalmuna,

12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.

12 que han dicho: Heredemos para nosotros las moradas de Dios.

13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.

13 Dios mío, ponlos como torbellinos, como hojarascas delante del viento,

14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;

14 como fuego que quema el bosque, como llama que abrasa las breñas.

15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.

15 Persíguelos así con tu tempestad, y aterrorízalos con tu tormenta.

16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.

16 Llena sus rostros de vergüenza para que busquen tu nombre, oh Jehová.

17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:

17 Sean avergonzados y turbados para siempre; y sean humillados y perezcan.

18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

18 Y conozcan que solo tú, cuyo nombre es JEHOVÁ, que solo tú eres el Altísimo sobre toda la tierra.
