1 Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.

1 ¡Sálvame, oh Dios, porque las aguas han entrado hasta mi alma!

2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

2 Estoy hundido en cieno profundo, donde no puedo hacer pie; he llegado hasta lo profundo de las aguas, y la corriente me ha anegado.

3 I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.

3 Cansado estoy de llamar; mi garganta se ha enronquecido; han desfallecido mis ojos esperando a mi Dios.

4 They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.

4 Se han aumentado más que los cabellos de mi cabeza los que me aborrecen sin causa; se han hecho poderosos mis enemigos, los que quieren destruirme sin tener por qué. He venido, pues, a devolver lo que no he robado.

5 O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.

5 Oh Dios, tú conoces mi insensatez, y mis pecados no te son ocultos.

6 Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.

6 No sean avergonzados por mi causa los que en ti esperan, oh Señor Jehová de los ejércitos; no sean confundidos por mí los que te buscan, oh Dios de Israel.

7 Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.

7 Porque por amor de ti he sufrido afrenta; vergüenza ha cubierto mi rostro.

8 I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.

8 He llegado a ser extraño para mis hermanos y extranjero para los hijos de mi madre.

9 For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.

9 Porque me consumió el celo de tu casa, y los vituperios de los que te vituperaban cayeron sobre mí.

10 When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.

10 Y lloré afligiendo con ayuno mi alma, y esto me ha sido por afrenta.

11 I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them.

11 Me puse además cilicio por vestido, y vine a serles por proverbio.

12 They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.

12 Hablaban contra mí los que se sentaban a la puerta, y se burlaban de mí en sus canciones los bebedores de bebidas fermentadas.

13 But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

13 Pero yo elevaba mi oración a ti, oh Jehová, en el tiempo propicio; oh Dios, por la abundancia de tu misericordia, por la verdad de tu salvación, respóndeme.

14 Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.

14 Sácame del lodo, y no sea yo sumergido; sea yo libertado de los que me aborrecen y de lo profundo de las aguas.

15 Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.

15 No me anegue la corriente de las aguas, ni me trague el abismo, ni la fosa cierre sobre mí su boca.

16 Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.

16 Respóndeme, oh Jehová, porque benigna es tu compasión; mírame conforme a la abundancia de tus tiernas misericordias.

17 And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.

17 Y no escondas tu rostro de tu siervo, porque estoy angustiado; apresúrate, respóndeme.

18 Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.

18 Acércate a mi alma y redímela; líbrame a causa de mis enemigos.

19 Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.

19 Tú conoces mi afrenta, y mi confusión y mi oprobio; delante de ti están todos mis enemigos.

20 Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.

20 La afrenta ha quebrantado mi corazón, y estoy acongojado. Esperé a quien se compadeciese de mí, y no lo hubo; busqué consoladores y ninguno hallé.

21 They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

21 Me pusieron además hiel por comida y en mi sed me dieron a beber vinagre.

22 Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.

22 Sea su mesa delante de ellos una trampa, y lo que es para bien, tropiezo.

23 Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.

23 Sean oscurecidos sus ojos para que no vean, y haz temblar continuamente sus lomos.

24 Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.

24 Derrama sobre ellos tu ira, y el furor de tu enojo los alcance.

25 Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.

25 Sea su habitación desolada; en sus tiendas no haya morador,

26 For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.

26 porque persiguieron al que tú heriste, y cuentan del dolor de los que tú llagaste.

27 Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness.

27 Pon maldad sobre su maldad, y no entren en tu justicia.

28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.

28 Sean borrados del libro de los vivientes, y no sean inscritos con los justos.

29 But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.

29 Y yo afligido y dolorido, tu salvación, oh Dios, me ponga en alto.

30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

30 Alabaré yo el nombre de Dios con cántico; lo ensalzaré con gratitud.

31 This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.

31 Y agradará a Jehová más que sacrificio de novillo o becerro que tiene cuernos y pezuñas.

32 The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.

32 Lo verán los humildes y se gozarán; buscad a Dios, y vivirá vuestro corazón.

33 For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.

33 Porque Jehová oye a los menesterosos, y no menosprecia a sus prisioneros.

34 Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein.

34 Alábenle los cielos y la tierra, los mares y todo lo que se mueve en ellos.

35 For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession.

35 Porque Dios salvará a Sion y reedificará las ciudades de Judá; y habitarán allí y la poseerán.

36 The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.

36 Y la descendencia de sus siervos la heredará, y los que aman su nombre habitarán en ella.
