1 Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

1 Bienaventurado el que piensa en el pobre; en el día malo lo librará Jehová.

2 The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

2 Jehová lo guardará, y lo mantendrá con vida y será bienaventurado en la tierra; y no lo entregará a la voluntad de sus enemigos.

3 The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

3 Jehová lo sostendrá en el lecho del dolor; ablandará su cama en la enfermedad.

4 I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

4 Yo dije: Oh Jehová, ten misericordia de mí, sana mi alma, porque contra ti he pecado.

5 Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?

5 Mis enemigos hablan mal de mí, preguntando: ¿Cuándo morirá y perecerá su nombre?

6 And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

6 Y si alguno viene a ver me, habla mentira; su corazón recoge para sí iniquidad, y al salir fuera, la divulga.

7 All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.

7 Reunidos murmuran contra mí todos los que me aborrecen; contra mí traman el mal, diciendo:

8 An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

8 Una pestilencia se ha apoderado de él; el que cayó en cama no volverá a levantarse.

9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

9 Aun el hombre de mi paz, en quien yo confiaba, el que de mi pan comía, alzó contra mí el calcañar.

10 But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

10 Mas tú, oh Jehová, ten misericordia de mí y hazme levantar, y les daré su pago.

11 By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

11 Por esto sé que te complaces en mí, en que mi enemigo no cante victoria sobre mí.

12 And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

12 En cuanto a mí, en mi integridad me has sustentado, y me has hecho estar delante de ti para siempre.

13 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

13 Bendito sea Jehová, el Dios de Israel, por los siglos de los siglos. Amén y Amén.
