1 Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;

1 Líbrame, oh Jehová, del hombre malo y guárdame del hombre violento,

2 Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war.

2 los cuales maquinan males en el corazón y cada día provocan guerras.

3 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.

3 Han aguzado su lengua como la serpiente; veneno de áspid hay debajo de sus labios. Selah

4 Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.

4 Guárdame, oh Jehová, de manos del malvado; protégeme del hombre violento, que ha pensado trastornar mis pasos.

5 The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah.

5 Me han escondido trampa y cuerdas los soberbios; han tendido red junto a la senda; me han puesto lazos. Selah

6 I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.

6 He dicho a Jehová: Tú eres mi Dios; oye, oh Jehová, la voz de mis ruegos.

7 O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.

7 Oh Jehová, Señor, poder de mi salvación, tú pusiste a cubierto mi cabeza en el día de la batalla.

8 Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.

8 No concedas, oh Jehová, al malvado sus deseos; no saques adelante sus malos designios, para que no se ensoberbezca. Selah

9 As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

9 En cuanto a los que me rodean, la maldad de sus propios labios cubra sus cabezas.

10 Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.

10 Caigan sobre ellos brasas ardientes; sean arrojados en el fuego, en abismos profundos de donde no salgan.

11 Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

11 No permanezca el hombre malhablado en la tierra; cace el mal al hombre violento para derribarle.

12 I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor.

12 Yo sé que Jehová sustentará la causa del afligido y la del menesteroso.

13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.

13 Ciertamente los justos alabarán tu nombre; los rectos morarán en tu presencia.
