1 O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.

1 Oh Jehová, tú me has escudriñado y conocido.

2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

2 Tú has conocido mi sentar y mi levantar; desde lejos has entendido mis pensamientos.

3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.

3 Has escudriñado mi andar y mi reposo, y todos mis caminos te son conocidos.

4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.

4 Pues aún no está la palabra en mi lengua, y he aquí, oh Jehová, tú la sabes toda.

5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

5 Detrás y delante me rodeaste y sobre mí pusiste tu mano.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

6 Tal conocimiento es demasiado maravilloso para mí; elevado es, no puedo comprenderlo.

7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

7 ¿Adónde me iré de tu espíritu? ¿Y adónde huiré de tu presencia?

8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

8 Si subo a los cielos, allí estás tú; y si en el Seol hago mi lecho, he aquí, allí estás tú.

9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

9 Si tomo las alas del alba y habito en el extremo del mar,

10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

10 aun allí me guiará tu mano y me asirá tu diestra.

11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

11 Si digo: Ciertamente las tinieblas me encubrirán, aun la noche resplandecerá alrededor de mí.

12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

12 Aun las tinieblas no encubren de ti, y la noche resplandece como el día; lo mismo te son las tinieblas que la luz.

13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.

13 Porque tú creaste mis entrañas; me formaste en el vientre de mi madre.

14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

14 Te alabaré, porque asombrosa y maravillosamente he sido hecho; maravillosas son tus obras, y mi alma lo sabe muy bien.

15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

15 No fueron encubiertos de ti mis huesos, cuando en oculto fui formado y entretejido en lo más profundo de la tierra.

16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

16 Tus ojos vieron mi embrión, y en tu libro estaban escritas todas aquellas cosas que fueron luego formadas, cuando no existía ninguna de ellas.

17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

17 Y, ¡cuán preciosos me son, oh Dios, tus pensamientos! ¡Cuán grande es la suma de ellos!

18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

18 Si los contara, serían más numerosos que la arena. Despierto y aún estoy contigo.

19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.

19 De cierto, oh Dios, harás morir al malvado. ¡Apartaos, pues, de mí, hombres sanguinarios!

20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.

20 Porque ellos hablan maliciosamente contra ti; tus enemigos toman en vano tu nombre.

21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

21 ¿No odio, oh Jehová, a los que te aborrecen, y no me repugnan tus enemigos?

22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

22 Los aborrezco con intenso odio; los tengo por enemigos.

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

23 Escudríñame, oh Dios, y conoce mi corazón; pruébame y conoce mis pensamientos.

24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

24 Y ve si hay camino de perversidad en mí y guíame por el camino eterno.
