1 LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions:

1 Acuérdate, oh Jehová, de David y de toda su aflicción,

2 How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;

2 de como juró él a Jehová y prometió al Fuerte de Jacob:

3 Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;

3 No entraré en la morada de mi casa ni subiré sobre el lecho de mi descanso;

4 I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,

4 no daré el sueño a mis ojos ni a mis párpados adormecimiento,

5 Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

5 hasta que halle lugar para Jehová, moradas para el Fuerte de Jacob.

6 Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.

6 He aquí, en Efrata oímos de ella; la hallamos en los campos del bosque.

7 We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.

7 Entraremos en sus moradas; nos postraremos ante el estrado de sus pies.

8 Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.

8 Levántate, oh Jehová, ven al lugar de tu reposo, tú y el arca de tu poder.

9 Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.

9 Vístanse tus sacerdotes de justicia y canten de júbilo tus santos.

10 For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.

10 Por amor a David, tu siervo, no vuelvas de tu ungido el rostro.

11 The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

11 En verdad ha jurado Jehová a David, y no se retractará de ello: Del fruto de tu cuerpo pondré sobre tu trono.

12 If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.

12 Si tus hijos guardan mi convenio y mi testimonio que yo les enseñaré, sus hijos también se sentarán sobre tu trono para siempre.

13 For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.

13 Porque Jehová ha escogido a Sion; la ha anhelado como habitación para sí.

14 This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

14 Este es mi lugar de reposo para siempre; aquí habitaré, porque lo he anhelado.

15 I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.

15 Bendeciré abundantemente su provisión; a sus pobres saciaré de pan.

16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

16 Asimismo vestiré a sus sacerdotes de salvación, y sus santos darán voces de júbilo.

17 There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.

17 Allí haré retoñar el poder de David; he dispuesto lámpara para mi ungido.

18 His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.

18 A sus enemigos vestiré de vergüenza, mas sobre él florecerá su corona.
