1 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

1 ¡Alabad a Jehová! Invocad su nombre; dad a conocer sus obras entre los pueblos.

2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

2 ¡Cantadle, cantadle salmos! Hablad de todas sus maravillas.

3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

3 Gloriaos en su santo nombre; regocíjese el corazón de los que buscan a Jehová.

4 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

4 Buscad a Jehová y su fortaleza; buscad siempre su rostro.

5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

5 Acordaos de las maravillas que él ha hecho, de sus prodigios y de los juicios de su boca,

6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

6 oh vosotros, descendencia de Abraham, su siervo, hijos de Jacob, sus escogidos.

7 He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.

7 Él es Jehová nuestro Dios; en toda la tierra están sus juicios.

8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.

8 Se acordó para siempre de su convenio, de la palabra que mandó para mil generaciones,

9 Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;

9 el cual concertó con Abraham, y de su juramento a Isaac.

10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:

10 Y lo estableció a Jacob como estatuto, a Israel como convenio sempiterno,

11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:

11 diciendo: A ti te daré la tierra de Canaán, como parte de vuestra heredad.

12 When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

12 Cuando eran pocos hombres en número, sí, muy pocos, y extranjeros en ella,

13 When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;

13 y andaban de nación en nación, de un reino a otro pueblo,

14 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

14 no consintió que hombre alguno los agraviase, y por causa de ellos castigó a reyes.

15 Saying, Touch not mine an ointed, and do my prophets no harm.

15 No toquéis, dijo, a mis ungidos, ni hagáis mal a mis profetas.

16 Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.

16 Y trajo hambre sobre la tierra, y quebrantó todo sustento de pan.

17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:

17 Envió a un hombre delante de ellos, a José, que fue vendido como esclavo.

18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:

18 Afligieron sus pies con grilletes; en hierro le pusieron.

19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.

19 Hasta la hora en que llegó su palabra, la palabra de Jehová le probó.

20 The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.

20 Envió el rey y le soltó; el señor de los pueblos le dejó ir libre.

21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:

21 Lo puso como señor de su casa, y como gobernador de todas sus posesiones,

22 To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.

22 para sujetar a sus príncipes como él quisiese, y hacer sabios a sus ancianos.

23 Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

23 Después entró Israel en Egipto, y Jacob fue extranjero en la tierra de Cam.

24 And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.

24 Y multiplicó su pueblo en gran manera, y lo hizo más fuerte que sus enemigos.

25 He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

25 Cambió el corazón de ellos para que aborreciesen a su pueblo, para que actuasen astutamente contra sus siervos.

26 He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.

26 Envió a su siervo Moisés, y a Aarón, al cual escogió.

27 They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.

27 Puso en ellos las palabras de sus señales, y sus prodigios en la tierra de Cam.

28 He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.

28 Echó tinieblas e hizo oscuridad, y no fueron rebeldes a su palabra.

29 He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.

29 Convirtió sus aguas en sangre, y mató sus peces.

30 Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.

30 Hizo pulular ranas en su tierra, hasta en las cámaras de sus reyes.

31 He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.

31 Habló, y vinieron enjambres de moscas y piojos en todo su territorio.

32 He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.

32 Les dio granizo por lluvia, y llamas de fuego en su tierra.

33 He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.

33 Destruyó sus viñas y sus higueras, y quebró los árboles de su territorio.

34 He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,

34 Habló, y vinieron langostas y pulgón sin número;

35 And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.

35 y se comieron toda la hierba de su país, y devoraron el fruto de su tierra.

36 He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.

36 Hirió de muerte a todos los primogénitos en su tierra, las primicias de todo su vigor.

37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

37 Y los sacó con plata y oro; y no hubo entre sus tribus quien tropezara.

38 Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.

38 Egipto se alegró de que salieran, porque su terror había caído sobre ellos.

39 He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.

39 Extendió una nube por cubierta, y fuego para alumbrar la noche.

40 The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

40 Pidieron, e hizo venir codornices; y los sació con pan del cielo.

41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.

41 Abrió la peña, y fluyeron aguas; corrieron por los sequedales como un río.

42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

42 Porque se acordó de su santa palabra dada a Abraham, su siervo.

43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:

43 Y sacó a su pueblo con gozo, con júbilo, a sus escogidos.

44 And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;

44 Y les dio las tierras de las naciones; y los frutos de las labores de las naciones heredaron,

45 That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.

45 para que guardasen sus estatutos y observasen sus leyes. ¡Aleluya!
