1 Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee.

1 Jehová, oye mi oración y llegue a ti mi clamor.

2 Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.

2 No escondas de mí tu rostro en el día de mi angustia; inclina a mí tu oído. El día en que te invoque, apresúrate a responderme,

3 For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth.

3 porque mis días se han consumido como humo, y mis huesos cual tizón están quemados.

4 My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.

4 Mi corazón está herido y seco como la hierba, por lo cual me olvido de comer mi pan.

5 By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.

5 Por la voz de mi gemido, mis huesos se han pegado a mi carne.

6 I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.

6 Soy semejante al pelícano del desierto; soy como el búho de las soledades.

7 I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.

7 Velo, y soy como el pájaro solitario sobre el tejado.

8 Mine enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.

8 Todo el día me afrentan mis enemigos; los que me escarnecen se han conjurado contra mí.

9 For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,

9 Porque he comido cenizas a manera de pan, y mi bebida con llanto he mezclado,

10 Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.

10 a causa de tu enojo y de tu ira, pues me has alzado y me has arrojado.

11 My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.

11 Mis días son como sombra que se va, y me he secado como la hierba.

12 But thou, O LORD, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.

12 Mas tú, oh Jehová, permanecerás para siempre, y tu memoria de generación en generación.

13 Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.

13 Tú te levantarás y tendrás misericordia de Sion, porque es tiempo de tener misericordia de ella, porque el plazo ha llegado.

14 For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof.

14 Porque tus siervos aman sus piedras, y del polvo de ella tienen compasión.

15 So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.

15 Entonces las naciones temerán el nombre de Jehová, y todos los reyes de la tierra, tu gloria,

16 When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.

16 por cuanto Jehová habrá edificado Sion, y en su gloria será visto.

17 He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.

17 Habrá considerado la oración de los menesterosos, y no habrá desechado el ruego de ellos.

18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.

18 Se escribirá esto para la generación venidera, y el pueblo que será creado alabará a JAH.

19 For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;

19 Porque miró desde lo alto de su santuario; Jehová miró desde los cielos a la tierra,

20 To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;

20 para oír el gemido de los presos, para liberar a los sentenciados a muerte,

21 To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;

21 para que se declare en Sion el nombre de Jehová, y su alabanza en Jerusalén,

22 When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.

22 cuando los pueblos y los reinos se congreguen en uno para servir a Jehová.

23 He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days.

23 Él debilitó mis fuerzas en el camino; acortó mis días.

24 I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.

24 Dije: Dios mío, no me lleves en la mitad de mis días; por generación de generaciones son tus años.

25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.

25 Tú fundaste la tierra en tiempos antiguos, y los cielos son obra de tus manos.

26 They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:

26 Ellos perecerán, mas tú permanecerás; y todos ellos como un vestido se envejecerán; como ropa de vestir los mudarás, y serán mudados.

27 But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.

27 Pero tú eres el mismo, y tus años no se acabarán.

28 The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.

28 Los hijos de tus siervos habitarán seguros, y su descendencia será establecida delante de ti.
