1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

1 La mujer sabia edifica su casa, pero la necia con sus manos la derriba.

2 He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.

2 El que camina en rectitud teme a Jehová, pero el perverso en sus caminos le menosprecia.

3 In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.

3 En la boca del necio está la vara de la soberbia, pero los labios de los sabios los protegerán.

4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.

4 Donde no hay bueyes, el granero está limpio; pero por la fuerza del buey hay abundancia de pan.

5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.

5 El testigo veraz no mentirá, pero el testigo falso hablará mentiras.

6 A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.

6 Busca el escarnecedor la sabiduría y no la halla, pero para el hombre entendido el conocimiento es fácil.

7 Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.

7 Apártate de la presencia del hombre necio, porque en él no hallarás labios de conocimiento.

8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.

8 La sabiduría del prudente está en entender su camino, pero la necedad de los necios es engaño.

9 Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.

9 Los necios se mofan del pecado, pero entre los rectos hay buena voluntad.

10 The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy.

10 El corazón conoce la amargura de su propia alma, y el extraño no comparte su alegría.

11 The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.

11 La casa de los malvados será asolada, pero florecerá la tienda de los rectos.

12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

12 Hay camino que al hombre le parece recto, pero su fin es camino de muerte.

13 Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.

13 Aun en la risa tendrá dolor el corazón, y el final de la alegría es la congoja.

14 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.

14 De sus caminos se hastiará el descarriado de corazón, pero el hombre bueno estará contento con el suyo.

15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.

15 El ingenuo cree toda palabra, pero el prudente mide bien sus pasos.

16 A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.

16 El sabio teme y se aparta del mal, pero el necio es arrogante y confiado.

17 He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.

17 El que fácilmente se enoja comete locuras, y el hombre perverso es aborrecido.

18 The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

18 Los ingenuos heredan necedad, pero los prudentes se coronarán de conocimiento.

19 The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

19 Los malos se inclinan delante de los buenos, y los malvados, ante las puertas del justo.

20 The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.

20 El pobre es odioso aun a su amigo, pero muchos son los que aman al rico.

21 He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.

21 Peca el que menosprecia a su prójimo, pero el que tiene misericordia de los pobres es bienaventurado.

22 Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.

22 ¿No yerran los que traman el mal? Pero misericordia y verdad alcanzarán los que planean el bien.

23 In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.

23 En toda labor hay ganancia, pero las vanas palabras de los labios solo empobrecen.

24 The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.

24 Las riquezas de los sabios son su corona; la insensatez de los necios es locura.

25 A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.

25 El testigo veraz salva las almas, pero el falso dirá mentiras.

26 In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.

26 En el temor de Jehová está la firme confianza, y para sus hijos habrá refugio.

27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

27 El temor de Jehová es manantial de vida, para apartarse de los lazos de la muerte.

28 In the multitude of people is the king's honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.

28 En la multitud del pueblo está la gloria del rey; y en la falta de pueblo, la ruina del príncipe.

29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

29 El que tarda en airarse es grande de entendimiento, pero el impaciente de espíritu engrandece la necedad.

30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.

30 El corazón apacible es vida de la carne; pero la envidia, podredumbre de los huesos.

31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.

31 El que oprime al pobre afrenta a su Hacedor, pero a este le honra el que tiene misericordia del pobre.

32 The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.

32 Por su maldad será arrojado el malvado, pero el justo en su propia muerte tiene esperanza.

33 Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.

33 En el corazón del entendido reposa la sabiduría, pero lo que hay en el necio se da a conocer.

34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

34 La justicia engrandece a la nación, pero el pecado es afrenta de los pueblos.

35 The king's favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.

35 El favor del rey es para con el servidor prudente, pero su enojo, contra el que lo avergüenza.
