1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

1 Y habló Jehová a Moisés, diciendo:

2 Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.

2 Habla a Aarón y dile: Cuando enciendas las lámparas, las siete lámparas alumbrarán hacia el frente del candelabro.

3 And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.

3 Y Aarón lo hizo así; encendió hacia el frente del candelabro sus lámparas, como Jehová lo mandó a Moisés.

4 And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was beaten work: according unto the pattern which the LORD had shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick.

4 Y esta era la hechura del candelabro: Era de oro labrado a martillo; desde su pie hasta sus flores era labrado a martillo; conforme al modelo que Jehová mostró a Moisés, así hizo el candelabro.

5 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

5 Y Jehová habló a Moisés, diciendo:

6 Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.

6 Toma a los levitas de entre los hijos de Israel y purifícalos.

7 And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.

7 Y así harás con ellos para purificarlos: Rocía sobre ellos el agua de la purificación y haz pasar la navaja sobre todo su cuerpo; y lavarán sus vestidos y quedarán purificados.

8 Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin offering.

8 Luego tomarán un novillo con su ofrenda de grano de flor de harina amasada con aceite; y tomarás otro novillo para la ofrenda por el pecado.

9 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together:

9 Y harás llegar a los levitas delante del tabernáculo de reunión, y juntarás a toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel.

10 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the LORD: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites:

10 Y cuando hayas hecho llegar a los levitas delante de Jehová, pondrán los hijos de Israel sus manos sobre los levitas;

11 And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD.

11 y Aarón presentará a los levitas delante de Jehová como ofrenda mecida de los hijos de Israel, y servirán en el ministerio de Jehová.

12 And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, unto the LORD, to make an atonement for the Levites.

12 Y los levitas pondrán sus manos sobre las cabezas de los novillos, y ofrecerás uno como ofrenda por el pecado y el otro como holocausto a Jehová, para hacer expiación por los levitas.

13 And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the LORD.

13 Y harás presentar a los levitas delante de Aarón y delante de sus hijos, y los presentarás como ofrenda a Jehová.

14 Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.

14 Así apartarás a los levitas de entre los hijos de Israel, y serán míos los levitas.

15 And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them for an offering.

15 Y después de eso vendrán los levitas a servir en el tabernáculo de reunión; los purificarás y los presentarás como ofrenda mecida.

16 For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.

16 Porque enteramente me son dados a mí los levitas de entre los hijos de Israel, en lugar de todo aquel que abre matriz; los he tomado para mí en lugar de los primogénitos de todos los hijos de Israel.

17 For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.

17 Porque mío es todo primogénito de entre los hijos de Israel, tanto de hombres como de animales; desde el día en que yo herí a todo primogénito en la tierra de Egipto, los santifiqué para mí.

18 And I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn of the children of Israel.

18 Y he tomado a los levitas en lugar de todos los primogénitos de los hijos de Israel.

19 And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary.

19 Y yo he dado los levitas como un don a Aarón y a sus hijos de entre los hijos de Israel, para que sirvan el servicio de los hijos de Israel en el tabernáculo de reunión, y para que hagan expiación por los hijos de Israel, para que no haya mortandad entre los hijos de Israel cuando los hijos de Israel se acerquen al santuario.

20 And Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according unto all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them.

20 Y Moisés y Aarón y toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel hicieron con los levitas conforme a todas las cosas que mandó Jehová a Moisés acerca de los levitas; así hicieron con ellos los hijos de Israel.

21 And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the LORD; and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.

21 Y los levitas se purificaron y lavaron sus vestidos; y Aarón los presentó como ofrenda mecida delante de Jehová, e hizo Aarón expiación por ellos para purificarlos.

22 And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.

22 Y después de esto, los levitas fueron para servir en su servicio del tabernáculo de reunión delante de Aarón y delante de sus hijos; de la manera en que mandó Jehová a Moisés acerca de los levitas, así hicieron con ellos.

23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

23 Y habló Jehová a Moisés, diciendo:

24 This is it that belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation:

24 Esto es lo que corresponde en cuanto a los levitas: de veinticinco años arriba entrarán a hacer su oficio en el servicio del tabernáculo de reunión.

25 And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service thereof, and shall serve no more:

25 Pero desde los cincuenta años cesarán de ejercer su servicio, y no servirán más.

26 But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charge.

26 Pero servirán con sus hermanos en el tabernáculo de reunión en el ejercicio de sus deberes, pero no servirán en el ministerio. Así harás con los levitas en cuanto a sus cargos.
