1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

1 Y Jehová habló a Moisés y a Aarón, diciendo:

2 This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke:

2 Esta es la ordenanza de la ley que Jehová ha prescrito, diciendo: Di a los hijos de Israel que te traigan una vaca de pelo rojizo, perfecta, en la cual no haya defecto, sobre la cual no se haya puesto yugo.

3 And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face:

3 Y la daréis al sacerdote Eleazar, y él la sacará fuera del campamento y la hará degollar en su presencia.

4 And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times:

4 Y tomará el sacerdote Eleazar de la sangre con su dedo, y rociará siete veces hacia la parte delantera del tabernáculo de reunión con la sangre de ella;

5 And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn:

5 y hará quemar la vaca ante sus ojos; hará quemar su cuero y su carne y su sangre, con su estiércol.

6 And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.

6 Luego tomará el sacerdote madera de cedro, e hisopo y escarlata, y los echará en medio del fuego en que arde la vaca.

7 Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even.

7 El sacerdote lavará luego sus vestidos; lavará también su cuerpo con agua, y después entrará en el campamento; y será impuro el sacerdote hasta el atardecer.

8 And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even.

8 Asimismo el que la quemó lavará sus vestidos en agua; también lavará en agua su cuerpo, y será impuro hasta el atardecer.

9 And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin.

9 Y un hombre que esté limpio recogerá las cenizas de la vaca, y las pondrá fuera del campamento en un lugar limpio, y las guardará la congregación de los hijos de Israel para el agua de la purificación; es para limpiar el pecado.

10 And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever.

10 Y el que recoja las cenizas de la vaca lavará sus vestidos, y será impuro hasta el atardecer; y esto será para los hijos de Israel y para el extranjero que peregrine entre ellos, por estatuto perpetuo.

11 He that toucheth the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days.

11 El que toque el cadáver de cualquier persona, siete días quedará impuro;

12 He shall purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he purify not himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.

12 este se purificará al tercer día con aquella agua, y al séptimo día será limpio; y si al tercer día no se purifica, no será limpio al séptimo día.

13 Whosoever toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself, defileth the tabernacle of the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.

13 Cualquiera que toque el cuerpo de alguna persona muerta, y no se purifique, contamina el tabernáculo de Jehová; aquella persona será talada de Israel; por cuanto el agua de la purificación no fue rociada sobre él, será impuro, y su impureza será sobre él.

14 This is the law, when a man dieth in a tent: all that come into the tent, and all that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.

14 Esta es la ley para cuando alguno muera en una tienda: cualquiera que entre en la tienda, y todo lo que esté en ella, será impuro siete días.

15 And every open vessel, which hath no covering bound upon it, is unclean.

15 Y todo recipiente abierto, sobre el cual no haya tapa bien ajustada, será inmundo.

16 And whosoever toucheth one that is slain with a sword in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.

16 Y cualquiera que en campo abierto toque un muerto a espada, o un cadáver, o un hueso humano o un sepulcro, siete días será impuro.

17 And for an unclean person they shall take of the ashes of the burnt heifer of purification for sin, and running water shall be put thereto in a vessel:

17 Y para el impuro tomarán de la ceniza de lo quemado de la ofrenda por el pecado, y echarán sobre ella agua viva en un recipiente.

18 And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a grave:

18 Y un hombre limpio tomará hisopo y lo mojará en el agua, y rociará sobre la tienda, y sobre todos los muebles, y sobre las personas que allí estén, y sobre aquel que haya tocado el hueso, o el asesinado, o el muerto o el sepulcro.

19 And the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify himself, and wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even.

19 Y el que esté limpio rociará sobre el impuro el tercero y el séptimo día; y al séptimo día lo purificará, y este lavará luego sus vestidos, y se lavará a sí mismo con agua y será limpio al atardecer.

20 But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the LORD: the water of separation hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.

20 Y el que sea impuro y no se purifique, tal persona será talada de entre la congregación, por cuanto contaminó el tabernáculo de Jehová; no fue rociada sobre él el agua de la purificación; es impuro.

21 And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkleth the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth the water of separation shall be unclean until even.

21 Y les será por estatuto perpetuo. También el que rocíe el agua para la purificación lavará sus vestidos; y el que toque el agua para la purificación será impuro hasta el atardecer.

22 And whatsoever the unclean person toucheth shall be unclean; and the soul that toucheth it shall be unclean until even.

22 Y todo lo que el impuro toque será inmundo; y la persona que lo toque será impura hasta el atardecer.
