1 And the LORD spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the LORD, and died;

1 Y habló Jehová a Moisés, después de la muerte de los dos hijos de Aarón, cuando estos se acercaron delante de Jehová y murieron.

2 And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the veil before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.

2 Y Jehová dijo a Moisés: Di a Aarón, tu hermano, que no entre en todo tiempo en el lugar santo, detrás del velo, delante del propiciatorio que está sobre el arca, para que no muera, porque yo apareceré en la nube sobre el propiciatorio.

3 Thus shall Aaron come into the holy place: with a young bullock for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.

3 Con esto entrará Aarón en el lugar santo: con un becerro para la ofrenda por el pecado y un carnero para el holocausto.

4 He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on.

4 Se vestirá con la túnica santa de lino, y sobre su cuerpo se pondrá calzoncillos de lino, y se ceñirá el cinto de lino y con la mitra de lino se cubrirá. Estas son las santas vestiduras; con ellas se ha de vestir después de lavar su cuerpo con agua.

5 And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.

5 Y de la congregación de los hijos de Israel tomará dos machos cabríos para la ofrenda por el pecado y un carnero para el holocausto.

6 And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house.

6 Y Aarón ofrecerá el becerro de la ofrenda por el pecado, que es por sí mismo, y hará expiación por sí mismo y por su casa.

7 And he shall take the two goats, and present them before the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

7 Después tomará los dos machos cabríos y los presentará delante de Jehová, a la entrada del tabernáculo de reunión.

8 And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat.

8 Y echará suertes Aarón sobre los dos machos cabríos, una suerte para Jehová, y otra suerte para el macho cabrío expiatorio.

9 And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD's lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.

9 Y Aarón hará traer el macho cabrío sobre el cual haya caído la suerte para Jehová, y lo ofrecerá como ofrenda por el pecado.

10 But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.

10 Pero el macho cabrío, sobre el cual haya caído la suerte para el macho cabrío expiatorio, lo presentará vivo delante de Jehová a fin de hacer expiación sobre él, para enviarlo al desierto.

11 And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself:

11 Y Aarón mismo hará traer el becerro de la ofrenda por el pecado, que es por sí mismo, y hará expiación por sí mismo y por su casa, y degollará el becerro como ofrenda por el pecado, que es por sí mismo.

12 And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the veil:

12 Después tomará un incensario lleno de brasas de fuego del altar que está delante de Jehová, y dos puñados de incienso aromático molido, y lo llevará detrás del velo.

13 And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not:

13 Y pondrá el incienso sobre el fuego delante de Jehová, y la nube del incienso cubrirá el propiciatorio que está sobre el testimonio, para que no muera.

14 And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.

14 Tomará luego de la sangre del becerro y la rociará con su dedo hacia el propiciatorio al lado oriental; hacia el propiciatorio esparcirá con su dedo siete veces de aquella sangre.

15 Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:

15 Después degollará el macho cabrío de la ofrenda por el pecado que es por el pueblo, y llevará la sangre de él detrás del velo y hará con la sangre como hizo con la sangre del becerro, y la esparcirá sobre el propiciatorio y delante del propiciatorio.

16 And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness.

16 Y hará expiación por el lugar santo a causa de las impurezas de los hijos de Israel y a causa de sus transgresiones, y de todos sus pecados; de la misma manera hará por el tabernáculo de reunión, el cual reside entre ellos en medio de sus impurezas.

17 And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.

17 Y ningún hombre estará en el tabernáculo de reunión cuando él entre a hacer expiación en el lugar santo, hasta que él salga y haya hecho expiación por sí mismo, y por su casa y por toda la congregación de Israel.

18 And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the LORD, and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.

18 Y saldrá al altar que está delante de Jehová y hará expiación por él; y tomará de la sangre del becerro y de la sangre del macho cabrío, y la pondrá sobre los cuernos del altar alrededor.

19 And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.

19 Y esparcirá sobre él de la sangre con su dedo siete veces, y lo limpiará y lo santificará de las impurezas de los hijos de Israel.

20 And when he hath made an end of reconciling the holy place, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat:

20 Y cuando haya acabado de expiar el lugar santo, y el tabernáculo de reunión y el altar, hará traer el macho cabrío vivo.

21 And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:

21 Y pondrá Aarón ambas manos sobre la cabeza del macho cabrío vivo y confesará sobre él todas las iniquidades de los hijos de Israel, y todas sus transgresiones y todos sus pecados, poniéndolos así sobre la cabeza del macho cabrío, y lo enviará al desierto por mano de un hombre designado para esto.

22 And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.

22 Y aquel macho cabrío llevará sobre sí todas las iniquidades de ellos a tierra inhabitada, y dejará ir el macho cabrío por el desierto.

23 And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there:

23 Después vendrá Aarón al tabernáculo de reunión y se quitará las vestimentas de lino que había vestido para entrar en el lugar santo, y las dejará allí.

24 And he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the people.

24 Lavará luego su cuerpo con agua en un lugar santo, y después de ponerse sus vestidos, saldrá y ofrecerá su holocausto y el holocausto del pueblo, y hará expiación por sí mismo y por el pueblo.

25 And the fat of the sin offering shall he burn upon the altar.

25 Y quemará sobre el altar la grasa de la ofrenda por el pecado.

26 And he that let go the goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.

26 Y el que haya llevado el macho cabrío como macho cabrío expiatorio lavará sus vestidos, lavará también con agua su cuerpo y después entrará en el campamento.

27 And the bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall one carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.

27 Y se sacará fuera del campamento el becerro de la ofrenda por el pecado y el macho cabrío de la ofrenda por el pecado, la sangre de los cuales fue llevada al lugar santo para hacer expiación, y quemarán en el fuego su piel, y su carne y su estiércol.

28 And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

28 Y el que los queme lavará sus vestidos y lavará también su cuerpo con agua, y después entrará en el campamento.

29 And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:

29 Y esto tendréis por estatuto perpetuo: En el mes séptimo, a los diez días del mes, afligiréis vuestras almas y ninguna obra haréis, ni el natural ni el extranjero que peregrina entre vosotros,

30 For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.

30 porque en este día se hará expiación por vosotros para limpiaros; y seréis limpios de todos vuestros pecados delante de Jehová.

31 It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever.

31 Día de reposo es para vosotros, y afligiréis vuestras almas; es estatuto perpetuo.

32 And the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest's office in his father's stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen clothes, even the holy garments:

32 Y el sacerdote que él unja y consagre para ser sacerdote en lugar de su padre hará la expiación; y se vestirá con las vestiduras de lino, las vestiduras sagradas.

33 And he shall make an atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation, and for the altar, and he shall make an atonement for the priests, and for all the people of the congregation.

33 Y hará expiación por el santuario santo y por el tabernáculo de reunión; también hará expiación por el altar, y por los sacerdotes y por todo el pueblo de la congregación.

34 And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.

34 Y esto tendréis como estatuto perpetuo, para hacer expiación los hijos de Israel por todos sus pecados, una vez al año. Y Moisés lo hizo como Jehová le mandó.
