1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.

1 Y Nadab y Abiú, hijos de Aarón, tomaron cada uno su incensario y pusieron fuego en ellos, sobre el cual pusieron incienso y ofrecieron delante de Jehová fuego extraño, que él nunca les había mandado.

2 And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.

2 Y salió fuego de la presencia de Jehová que los consumió, y murieron delante de Jehová.

3 Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

3 Entonces dijo Moisés a Aarón: Esto es lo que habló Jehová, diciendo: En los que se acercan a mí seré santificado, y en presencia de todo el pueblo seré glorificado. Y Aarón guardó silencio.

4 And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.

4 Y llamó Moisés a Misael y a Elzafán, hijos de Uziel, tío de Aarón, y les dijo: Acercaos y sacad a vuestros hermanos de delante del santuario, fuera del campamento.

5 So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said.

5 Y ellos se acercaron y los sacaron aún en sus túnicas fuera del campamento, como dijo Moisés.

6 And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled.

6 Entonces Moisés dijo a Aarón y a sus hijos Eleazar e Itamar: No descubráis vuestras cabezas ni rasguéis vuestros vestidos, para que no muráis ni se levante la ira sobre toda la congregación; pero vuestros hermanos, toda la casa de Israel, sí se lamentarán por el fuego que Jehová ha hecho.

7 And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: for the anointing oil of the LORD is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses.

7 Ni saldréis de la entrada del tabernáculo de reunión, porque moriréis, por cuanto el aceite de la unción de Jehová está sobre vosotros. Y ellos hicieron conforme a lo dicho por Moisés.

8 And the LORD spake unto Aaron, saying,

8 Y Jehová habló a Aarón y le dijo:

9 Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:

9 Tú y tus hijos contigo no beberéis vino ni sidra cuando entréis en el tabernáculo de reunión, para que no muráis; y será estatuto perpetuo por vuestras generaciones;

10 And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;

10 y para poder discernir entre lo santo y lo profano, y entre lo inmundo y lo limpio,

11 And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.

11 y para enseñar a los hijos de Israel todos los estatutos que Jehová les ha dicho por medio de Moisés.

12 And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy:

12 Y Moisés dijo a Aarón, y a Eleazar y a Itamar, los hijos que le habían quedado: Tomad la ofrenda de grano que queda de las ofrendas encendidas a Jehová, y comedla sin levadura junto al altar, porque es cosa muy santa.

13 And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons' due, of the sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded.

13 La comeréis, pues, en lugar santo, porque esta es la porción para ti y la porción para tus hijos de las ofrendas encendidas a Jehová, pues así me ha sido mandado.

14 And the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons' due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.

14 Comeréis asimismo en lugar limpio, tú y tus hijos y tus hijas contigo, el pecho de la ofrenda mecida y la espaldilla de la ofrenda elevada, porque por derecho son para ti y para tus hijos; son dados de los sacrificios de las ofrendas de paz de los hijos de Israel.

15 The heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be thine, and thy sons' with thee, by a statute for ever; as the LORD hath commanded.

15 Con las ofrendas de las grasas que se han de quemar, traerán la espaldilla que se ha de elevar y el pecho que será mecido, para mecerlo como ofrenda mecida delante de Jehová; y será estatuto perpetuo para ti y para tus hijos, como Jehová lo ha mandado.

16 And Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying,

16 Y Moisés buscó con diligencia el macho cabrío de la ofrenda por el pecado, pero, he aquí, había sido quemado; y se enojó contra Eleazar e Itamar, los hijos de Aarón que habían quedado, diciendo:

17 Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the LORD?

17 ¿Por qué no comisteis la ofrenda por el pecado en lugar santo? Pues es muy santa, y él os la dio a vosotros para llevar la iniquidad de la congregación, para hacer expiación por ellos delante de Jehová.

18 Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: ye should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded.

18 Ved que su sangre no fue llevada dentro del santuario; debíais haberla comido en lugar santo, como yo mandé.

19 And Aaron said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the LORD; and such things have befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin offering to day, should it have been accepted in the sight of the LORD?

19 Y respondió Aarón a Moisés: He aquí, hoy han ofrecido su ofrenda por el pecado y su holocausto delante de Jehová, pero a mí me han acontecido estas cosas. Si yo hubiera comido hoy de la ofrenda por el pecado, ¿hubiera sido acepto a Jehová?

20 And when Moses heard that, he was content.

20 Y cuando Moisés oyó esto, se dio por satisfecho.
