1 At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.

1 También ante esto se estremece mi corazón y salta de su lugar.

2 Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.

2 Oíd atentamente el fragor de su voz y el estruendo que sale de su boca.

3 He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

3 Debajo de todos los cielos lo suelta, y su luz hasta los confines de la tierra.

4 After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.

4 Después de ella ruge una voz; truena él con la voz de su magnificencia, y no los detiene cuando se oye su voz.

5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

5 Truena Dios maravillosamente con su voz; él hace grandes cosas que nosotros no entendemos.

6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

6 Porque a la nieve dice: Desciende a la tierra; también a la llovizna y a los aguaceros torrenciales.

7 He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.

7 En la mano de todo hombre pone un sello, para que todos los hombres reconozcan su obra.

8 Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.

8 La fiera entra en su escondrijo y permanece en su guarida.

9 Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.

9 Del sur viene el torbellino; y el frío, de los vientos del norte.

10 By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

10 Por el soplo de Dios se da el hielo, y la expansión de las aguas se restringe.

11 Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:

11 También carga de humedad la densa nube, y con su luz esparce la nube.

12 And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.

12 Asimismo, por sus designios, giran las nubes alrededor, para hacer sobre la faz del mundo, en la tierra, lo que él les mande.

13 He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

13 Unas veces por corrección, otras por causa de su tierra, otras por misericordia las hará aparecer.

14 Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

14 Escucha esto, Job; detente y considera las maravillas de Dios.

15 Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

15 ¿Sabes tú cómo Dios las pone en concierto y hace resplandecer la luz de su nube?

16 Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?

16 ¿Conoces tú la armonía del movimiento de las nubes, las maravillas del que es perfecto en conocimiento?

17 How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?

17 ¿Por qué están calientes tus vestidos al sosegarse la tierra a causa del viento del sur?

18 Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?

18 ¿Extendiste tú con él los cielos, firmes como un espejo de metal fundido?

19 Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.

19 Muéstranos qué le hemos de decir, porque nosotros no podemos ordenar las ideas a causa de las tinieblas.

20 Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.

20 ¿Será preciso decirle que yo hablo? Si el hombre habla, ciertamente será consumido.

21 And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.

21 Mas ahora ya no se ve la luz resplandeciente entre las nubes; luego pasa el viento y las despeja,

22 Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.

22 viniendo de la parte del norte la dorada claridad. En Dios hay una terrible majestad.

23 Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.

23 Al Todopoderoso no alcanzamos; él es grande en poder; y en juicio y en abundancia de justicia no afligirá.

24 Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.

24 Por tanto, le temen los hombres; él no estima a ninguno que se cree sabio en su propio corazón.
