1 At the same time, saith the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.

1 En aquel tiempo, dice Jehová, yo seré el Dios de todas las familias de Israel, y ellos serán mi pueblo.

2 Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.

2 Así ha dicho Jehová: El pueblo que escapó de la espada halló gracia en el desierto, cuando yo iba a dar reposo a Israel.

3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

3 Jehová se manifestó a mí hace ya mucho tiempo, diciendo: Sí, con amor eterno te he amado; por tanto, te he atraído con misericordia.

4 Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.

4 Otra vez te edificaré, y serás edificada, oh virgen de Israel; de nuevo serás adornada con tus panderos y saldrás en las danzas con los que se divierten.

5 Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things.

5 Volverás a plantar viñas en los montes de Samaria; las plantarán los plantadores y disfrutarán de ellas.

6 For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God.

6 Porque habrá día en que clamarán los guardias en los montes de Efraín: ¡Levantaos y subamos a Sion, a Jehová nuestro Dios!

7 For thus saith the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save thy people, the remnant of Israel.

7 Porque así ha dicho Jehová: Cantad con alegría por Jacob y dad voces de júbilo a la cabeza de las naciones; proclamad, alabad y decid: Oh Jehová, salva a tu pueblo, el remanente de Israel.

8 Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.

8 He aquí, yo los hago volver de la tierra del norte, y los reuniré de los confines de la tierra, y entre ellos a ciegos y a cojos, a la mujer que está encinta y a la que dio a luz juntamente; en gran congregación volverán acá.

9 They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

9 Vendrán con llanto, y por sus súplicas los guiaré y los haré andar junto a arroyos de aguas, por camino derecho en el cual no tropezarán, porque yo soy el padre de Israel, y Efraín es mi primogénito.

10 Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock.

10 Oíd la palabra de Jehová, oh naciones, y hacedlo saber en las islas que están lejos; y decid: El que dispersó a Israel lo reunirá y lo guardará, como el pastor a su rebaño.

11 For the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he.

11 Porque Jehová rescató a Jacob y lo redimió de manos del más fuerte que él.

12 Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.

12 Y vendrán, y cantarán de gozo en lo alto de Sion y correrán hacia la bondad de Jehová: por el grano, y por el vino, y por el aceite y por las crías de las ovejas y de las vacas; y su vida será como huerto de riego, y nunca más tendrán dolor alguno.

13 Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

13 Entonces la virgen se regocijará en la danza, los jóvenes y los ancianos juntamente; y cambiaré su duelo en gozo, y los consolaré y los alegraré de su dolor.

14 And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith the LORD.

14 Y el alma de los sacerdotes satisfaré con grosura, y mi pueblo será saciado de mi bondad, dice Jehová.

15 Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.

15 Así ha dicho Jehová: Voz fue oída en Ramá, llanto y lloro amargo; Raquel, lamentándose por sus hijos, no quiso ser consolada acerca de sus hijos, porque perecieron.

16 Thus saith the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.

16 Así ha dicho Jehová: Reprime del llanto tu voz y de las lágrimas tus ojos, porque salario hay para tu trabajo, dice Jehová, y volverán de la tierra del enemigo.

17 And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again to their own border.

17 Esperanza también hay para tu porvenir, dice Jehová, y los hijos volverán a su propio territorio.

18 I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself thus; Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art the LORD my God.

18 Ciertamente he oído a Efraín que se lamentaba: Me has castigado, y fui castigado como novillo indómito; hazme volver y yo volveré, porque tú eres Jehová mi Dios.

19 Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.

19 Porque después que me aparté, me arrepentí; y después que comprendí, me di golpes en el muslo; me avergoncé y me sentí humillado, porque llevé la afrenta de mi juventud.

20 Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD.

20 ¿No es Efraín hijo precioso para mí? ¿No es niño en quien me deleito? Pues siempre que hablo contra él, ciertamente lo recuerdo aún más. Por eso mis entrañas se conmueven por él; ciertamente tendré de él misericordia, dice Jehová.

21 Set thee up waymarks, make thee high heaps: set thine heart toward the highway, even the way which thou wentest: turn again, O virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities.

21 Establécete señales, ponte majanos altos; presta atención a la calzada, el camino por donde fuiste; vuélvete, oh virgen de Israel; vuelve a estas, tus ciudades.

22 How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the LORD hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.

22 ¿Hasta cuándo andarás errante, oh hija rebelde?, porque Jehová ha creado una cosa nueva sobre la tierra: la mujer rodeará al varón.

23 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity; The LORD bless thee, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness.

23 Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel: Aún dirán esta palabra en la tierra de Judá y en sus ciudades, cuando yo haga volver a sus cautivos: ¡Jehová te bendiga, oh morada de justicia, oh monte santo!

24 And there shall dwell in Judah itself, and in all the cities thereof together, husbandmen, and they that go forth with flocks.

24 Y morarán en ella Judá y todas sus ciudades juntamente, los labradores y los que van con rebaño.

25 For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.

25 Porque habré satisfecho al alma cansada y saciado a toda alma entristecida.

26 Upon this I awaked, and beheld; and my sleep was sweet unto me.

26 En esto me desperté y miré, y mi sueño me fue agradable.

27 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.

27 He aquí, vienen días, dice Jehová, en que sembraré la casa de Israel y la casa de Judá de simiente de hombre y de simiente de animal.

28 And it shall come to pass, that like as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, saith the LORD.

28 Y sucederá que así como tuve cuidado de ellos para arrancar, y derribar, y derrocar, y destruir y afligir, así tendré cuidado de ellos para edificar y plantar, dice Jehová.

29 In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children's teeth are set on edge.

29 En aquellos días no dirán más: Los padres comieron las uvas agrias, y a los hijos les da dentera,

30 But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.

30 sino que cada cual morirá por su propia iniquidad; a todo hombre que coma las uvas agrias le dará dentera.

31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

31 He aquí que vienen días, dice Jehová, en los cuales haré un nuevo convenio con la casa de Israel y con la casa de Judá,

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

32 no como el convenio que hice con sus padres el día en que los tomé de la mano para sacarlos de la tierra de Egipto; porque ellos invalidaron mi convenio, aunque fui yo un marido para ellos, dice Jehová.

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

33 Mas este es el convenio que haré con la casa de Israel después de aquellos días, dice Jehová: Pondré mi ley en su mente y la escribiré en sus corazones; y yo seré su Dios, y ellos serán mi pueblo.

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

34 Y no enseñará más ninguno a su prójimo ni ninguno a su hermano, diciendo: Conoce a Jehová, porque todos me conocerán, desde el más pequeño de ellos hasta el más grande, dice Jehová; porque perdonaré la iniquidad de ellos y no me acordaré más de su pecado.

35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:

35 Así ha dicho Jehová, que da el sol para luz del día, las leyes de la luna y de las estrellas para luz de la noche, que agita el mar para que bramen sus olas; Jehová de los ejércitos es su nombre:

36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

36 Si estas leyes se apartan de delante de mí, dice Jehová, también la descendencia de Israel dejará de ser nación delante de mí para siempre.

37 Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.

37 Así ha dicho Jehová: Si se pudieran medir los cielos arriba y explorar abajo los fundamentos de la tierra, también yo desecharía toda la descendencia de Israel por todo lo que hicieron, dice Jehová.

38 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the city shall be built to the LORD from the tower of Hananeel unto the gate of the corner.

38 He aquí que vienen días, dice Jehová, en que la ciudad será edificada a Jehová, desde la torre de Hananeel hasta la puerta del Ángulo.

39 And the measuring line shall yet go forth over against it upon the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath.

39 Y saldrá el cordel de medir delante de él sobre el collado de Gareb, y dará la vuelta hacia Goa.

40 And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the brook of Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto the LORD; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever.

40 Y todo el valle de los cuerpos muertos y de la ceniza, y todos los campos hasta el arroyo Cedrón, hasta la esquina de la puerta de los Caballos al oriente, serán santos a Jehová; nunca más serán arrancados ni derribados.
