1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.

1 ¡Ay de los pastores que destruyen y dispersan las ovejas de mi redil!, dice Jehová.

2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.

2 Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová Dios de Israel a los pastores que apacientan mi pueblo: Vosotros habéis dispersado mis ovejas, y las espantasteis y no las habéis cuidado; he aquí, yo os castigo por la maldad de vuestras obras, dice Jehová.

3 And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

3 Y yo recogeré al resto de mis ovejas de todas las tierras adonde las eché, y las haré volver a su redil; y crecerán y se multiplicarán.

4 And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.

4 Y pondré sobre ellas pastores que las apacienten; y no temerán más, ni se espantarán, ni faltará ninguna, dice Jehová.

5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

5 He aquí que vienen días, dice Jehová, en que levantaré a David un renuevo justo, y reinará como Rey, el cual será prudente y hará juicio y justicia en la tierra.

6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

6 En sus días será salvo Judá, e Israel habitará seguro; y este será el nombre con el cual le llamarán: JEHOVÁ, justicia nuestra.

7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

7 Por tanto, he aquí que vienen días, dice Jehová, en que no dirán más: Vive Jehová, que hizo subir a los hijos de Israel de la tierra de Egipto,

8 But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.

8 sino: Vive Jehová, que hizo subir y trajo la descendencia de la casa de Israel de la tierra del norte y de todas las tierras adonde yo los había echado; y habitarán en su propia tierra.

9 Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words of his holiness.

9 A causa de los profetas mi corazón está quebrantado dentro de mí; todos mis huesos tiemblan; estoy como un hombre ebrio, y como un hombre a quien dominó el vino, a causa de Jehová y a causa de sus santas palabras.

10 For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.

10 Porque la tierra está llena de adúlteros; porque a causa de la maldición la tierra está de duelo; los pastizales del desierto se secaron; la senda de ellos es mala y su poderío no es recto.

11 For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD.

11 Porque tanto el profeta como el sacerdote son profanos; aun en mi casa he hallado su maldad, dice Jehová.

12 Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.

12 Por tanto, su camino les será como resbaladero en la oscuridad; serán empujados y caerán en él; porque yo traeré el mal sobre ellos en el año de su castigo, dice Jehová.

13 And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.

13 Y en los profetas de Samaria he visto desatinos; profetizaban en nombre de Baal y hacían errar a mi pueblo Israel.

14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

14 Y en los profetas de Jerusalén he visto horrores; cometían adulterio, y andaban en mentiras y fortalecían las manos de los malvados, para que ninguno se volviese de su maldad; todos ellos son para mí como Sodoma, y sus moradores como Gomorra.

15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.

15 Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos contra aquellos profetas: He aquí que yo les hago comer ajenjo y les haré beber aguas envenenadas, porque de los profetas de Jerusalén salió la hipocresía sobre toda la tierra.

16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.

16 Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: No escuchéis las palabras de los profetas que os profetizan; os conducen a lo vano; hablan visión de su propio corazón, no de la boca de Jehová.

17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

17 Dicen continuamente a los que me desprecian: Jehová ha dicho: Paz tendréis; y a cualquiera que anda tras la terquedad de su corazón, dicen: No vendrá mal sobre vosotros.

18 For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?

18 Pero, ¿quién ha estado en el consejo de Jehová, y vio y oyó su palabra? ¿Quién ha estado atento a su palabra y ha escuchado?

19 Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.

19 He aquí que la tempestad de Jehová saldrá con furor; y el torbellino caerá sobre la cabeza de los malvados.

20 The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.

20 No se apartará el furor de Jehová hasta que lo haya hecho y hasta que haya cumplido los pensamientos de su corazón; en los postreros días lo entenderéis cabalmente.

21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.

21 Yo no envié aquellos profetas, pero ellos corrían; yo no les hablé, pero ellos profetizaban.

22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

22 Y si ellos hubieran estado en mi consejo, habrían hecho oír mis palabras a mi pueblo, y les habrían hecho volver de su mal camino y de la maldad de sus obras.

23 Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?

23 ¿Soy acaso Dios solo de cerca, y no Dios de lejos?, dice Jehová.

24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.

24 ¿Se ocultará alguno, dice Jehová, en escondrijos donde yo no lo vea? ¿Acaso no lleno yo, dice Jehová, el cielo y la tierra?

25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

25 Yo he oído lo que aquellos profetas dijeron, profetizando mentira en mi nombre, diciendo: ¡He soñado, he soñado!

26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;

26 ¿Hasta cuándo estará esto en el corazón de los profetas que profetizan mentira, y que profetizan el engaño de su propio corazón,

27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.

27 que piensan hacer a mi pueblo olvidarse de mi nombre con sus sueños que cada uno cuenta a su compañero, como sus padres se olvidaron de mi nombre por Baal?

28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.

28 El profeta que tenga un sueño, que cuente el sueño; y el que tenga mi palabra, que hable fielmente mi palabra. ¿Qué tiene que ver la paja con el trigo?, dice Jehová.

29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

29 ¿No es acaso mi palabra como el fuego, dice Jehová, y como martillo que despedaza la piedra?

30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.

30 Por tanto, he aquí, yo estoy contra los profetas, dice Jehová, que hurtan mis palabras, cada uno de su prójimo.

31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.

31 He aquí, yo estoy contra los profetas, dice Jehová, que usan sus lenguas y dicen: Él ha dicho.

32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.

32 He aquí, yo estoy contra los que profetizan sueños mentirosos, dice Jehová, y los cuentan y hacen errar a mi pueblo con sus mentiras y con sus lisonjas, pero yo no los envié ni los mandé; y ningún provecho traerán a este pueblo, dice Jehová.

33 And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD.

33 Y cuando te pregunte este pueblo, o el profeta o el sacerdote, diciendo: ¿Cuál es la profecía de Jehová?, les dirás: ¿Cuál profecía? Os abandonaré, ha dicho Jehová.

34 And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.

34 Y al profeta, y al sacerdote o al pueblo que diga: Profecía de Jehová, yo enviaré castigo sobre tal hombre y sobre su casa.

35 Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered? and, What hath the LORD spoken?

35 Así diréis cada cual a su prójimo y cada cual a su hermano: ¿Qué ha respondido Jehová?, y, ¿qué ha hablado Jehová?

36 And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.

36 Y nunca más os vendrá a la memoria decir: Profecía de Jehová, porque la palabra de cada uno será su propia profecía, pues pervertisteis las palabras del Dios viviente, de Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios nuestro.

37 Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the LORD answered thee? and, What hath the LORD spoken?

37 Así dirás al profeta: ¿Qué te ha respondido Jehová?, y, ¿qué ha hablado Jehová?

38 But since ye say, The burden of the LORD; therefore thus saith the LORD; Because ye say this word, The burden of the LORD, and I have sent unto you, saying, Ye shall not say, The burden of the LORD;

38 Pero si decís: Profecía de Jehová, entonces Jehová dice así: Porque dijisteis estas palabras: Profecía de Jehová, cuando yo he enviado a deciros: No digáis: Profecía de Jehová;

39 Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence:

39 por tanto, he aquí que yo os olvidaré por completo y os arrancaré de mi presencia a vosotros y la ciudad que os di a vosotros y a vuestros padres;

40 And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.

40 y pondré sobre vosotros afrenta perpetua, y eterna vergüenza que nunca borrará el olvido.
