1 The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;

1 El pecado de Judá escrito está con cincel de hierro y con punta de diamante; esculpido está en la tabla de su corazón y en los cuernos de vuestros altares,

2 Whilst their children remember their altars and their groves by the green trees upon the high hills.

2 mientras sus hijos se acuerdan de sus altares y de sus imágenes de Asera junto a los árboles frondosos y en los collados altos.

3 O my mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures to the spoil, and thy high places for sin, throughout all thy borders.

3 Oh mi montaña en el campo, tu riqueza y todos tus tesoros entregaré al saqueo por el pecado de tus lugares altos en todos tus territorios.

4 And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever.

4 Y perderás la heredad que yo te di, y te haré servir a tus enemigos en tierra que no has conocido, porque habéis encendido en mi furor fuego que arderá para siempre.

5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

5 Así ha dicho Jehová: Maldito el hombre que confía en el hombre, y que hace de la carne su brazo, y su corazón se aparta de Jehová.

6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.

6 Pues será como la retama en el desierto, y no verá cuando venga el bien, sino que morará en los sequedales en el desierto, en tierra de sal y deshabitada.

7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

7 Bendito el hombre que confía en Jehová, y cuya confianza es Jehová.

8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

8 Porque será como el árbol plantado junto a las aguas, que junto a la corriente echa sus raíces, y no temerá cuando venga el calor, sino que su hoja estará verde; y en el año de sequía no se angustiará ni dejará de dar fruto.

9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

9 Engañoso es el corazón más que todas las cosas, y sin remedio; ¿quién lo conocerá?

10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

10 Yo, Jehová, escudriño la mente y pongo a prueba el corazón, para dar a cada uno según su camino, según el fruto de sus obras.

11 As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.

11 Como la perdiz que cubre lo que no puso es el que amontona riquezas, y no con justicia; en la mitad de sus días las dejará, y en su final será un insensato.

12 A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary.

12 Trono de gloria, excelso desde el principio, es el lugar de nuestro santuario.

13 O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.

13 ¡Oh Jehová, esperanza de Israel!, todos los que te abandonan serán avergonzados; y los que se apartan de mí serán inscritos en el polvo, porque abandonaron a Jehová, manantial de aguas vivas.

14 Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.

14 Sáname, oh Jehová, y seré sanado; sálvame, y seré salvo, porque tú eres mi alabanza.

15 Behold, they say unto me, Where is the word of the LORD? let it come now.

15 He aquí que ellos me dicen: ¿Dónde está la palabra de Jehová? ¡Que venga!

16 As for me, I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow thee: neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was right before thee.

16 Pero yo no me he apresurado en dejar de ser tu pastor ni he deseado el día de la calamidad, tú lo sabes. Lo que de mi boca ha salido fue en tu presencia.

17 Be not a terror unto me: thou art my hope in the day of evil.

17 No seas terror para mí, pues mi refugio eres tú en el día del mal.

18 Let them be confounded that persecute me, but let not me be confounded: let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed: bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.

18 Avergüéncense los que me persiguen, y no me avergüence yo; atemorícense ellos, y no me atemorice yo; trae sobre ellos el día del mal y quebrántalos con doble quebranto.

19 Thus said the LORD unto me; Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by the which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;

19 Así me ha dicho Jehová: Ve y ponte en la puerta de los hijos del pueblo, por la cual entran y salen los reyes de Judá, y en todas las puertas de Jerusalén,

20 And say unto them, Hear ye the word of the LORD, ye kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates:

20 y diles: Oíd la palabra de Jehová, reyes de Judá, y todo Judá y todos los moradores de Jerusalén que entráis por estas puertas.

21 Thus saith the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;

21 Así ha dicho Jehová: Guardaos por vuestra vida y no llevéis carga en el día de reposo para meterla por las puertas de Jerusalén.

22 Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work, but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.

22 No saquéis carga de vuestras casas en el día de reposo ni hagáis trabajo alguno, sino santificad el día de reposo, como mandé a vuestros padres.

23 But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.

23 Pero ellos no escucharon ni inclinaron su oído, sino que endurecieron su cerviz para no oír ni recibir corrección.

24 And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith the LORD, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;

24 Pero acontecerá que si vosotros diligentemente me obedecéis, dice Jehová, no metiendo carga por las puertas de esta ciudad en el día de reposo, sino que santificáis el día de reposo, no haciendo en él ningún trabajo,

25 Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.

25 entrarán por las puertas de esta ciudad, en carros y en caballos, los reyes y los príncipes que se sientan sobre el trono de David, ellos y sus príncipes, los hombres de Judá y los moradores de Jerusalén; y esta ciudad será habitada para siempre.

26 And they shall come from the cities of Judah, and from the places about Jerusalem, and from the land of Benjamin, and from the plain, and from the mountains, and from the south, bringing burnt offerings, and sacrifices, and meat offerings, and incense, and bringing sacrifices of praise, unto the house of the LORD.

26 Y vendrán de las ciudades de Judá, y de los alrededores de Jerusalén, y de la tierra de Benjamín, y de la llanura, y de los montes y del sur, trayendo holocausto y sacrificio, y ofrenda e incienso, y trayendo ofrenda de gratitud a la casa de Jehová.

27 But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

27 Pero si no me escucháis para santificar el día de reposo y para no traer carga ni meterla por las puertas de Jerusalén en el día de reposo, yo haré encender fuego en sus puertas que consumirá los palacios de Jerusalén y no se apagará.
