1 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.

1 Fui buscado por los que no preguntaban por mí; fui hallado por los que no me buscaban. Dije a una nación que no invocaba mi nombre: ¡Heme aquí, heme aquí!

2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;

2 Extendí mis manos todo el día a un pueblo rebelde, que anda por un camino que no es bueno, en pos de sus propios pensamientos;

3 A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;

3 pueblo que en mi rostro me provoca de continuo a ira, sacrificando en huertos y quemando incienso sobre ladrillos;

4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;

4 que se quedan entre los sepulcros y en vigilia pasan la noche; que comen carne de cerdo y en sus ollas hay caldo de cosas inmundas;

5 Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.

5 que dicen: Quédate en tu lugar; no te acerques a mí, porque soy más santo que tú; estos son humo en mi nariz, fuego que arde todo el día.

6 Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,

6 He aquí que escrito está delante de mí: no callaré, sino que recompensaré y daré el pago en su seno

7 Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.

7 por vuestras iniquidades, dice Jehová, y por las iniquidades de vuestros padres juntamente, quienes quemaron incienso sobre los montes y sobre los collados me blasfemaron; por tanto, yo les mediré su obra antigua en su seno.

8 Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all.

8 Así ha dicho Jehová: Como cuando se halla mosto en un racimo y se dice: No lo destruyas, porque bendición hay en él; así haré yo por mis siervos, pues no los destruiré del todo.

9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.

9 Mas sacaré descendencia de Jacob, y de Judá heredero de mis montes; y mis escogidos poseerán por heredad la tierra, y mis siervos habitarán allí.

10 And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.

10 Y será Sarón redil de ovejas, y el valle de Acor para que se echen las vacas, para mi pueblo que me buscó.

11 But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.

11 Pero vosotros, los que dejáis a Jehová, que olvidáis mi santo monte, que ponéis mesa para la Fortuna y suministráis libaciones para el Destino,

12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.

12 yo también os destinaré a la espada, y todos vosotros os arrodillaréis para el degüello; por cuanto llamé, y no respondisteis; hablé, y no oísteis, sino que hicisteis lo malo delante de mis ojos y escogisteis lo que no me agrada.

13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:

13 Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: He aquí que mis siervos comerán, pero vosotros tendréis hambre; he aquí que mis siervos beberán, pero vosotros tendréis sed; he aquí que mis siervos se alegrarán, pero vosotros seréis avergonzados;

14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.

14 he aquí que mis siervos cantarán con júbilo de corazón, pero vosotros clamaréis por el dolor del corazón, y por el quebrantamiento del espíritu aullaréis.

15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:

15 Y dejaréis vuestro nombre como maldición a mis escogidos, y Jehová el Señor te hará morir, y a sus siervos llamará por otro nombre.

16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.

16 El que se bendijere en la tierra, en el Dios de verdad se bendecirá; y el que jurare en la tierra, por el Dios de verdad jurará, porque las angustias primeras han sido olvidadas y porque han quedado escondidas de mis ojos.

17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

17 Porque he aquí que yo crearé nuevos cielos y nueva tierra; y de lo primero no habrá memoria, ni vendrá más al pensamiento.

18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

18 Mas gozaos y regocijaos para siempre en las cosas que yo he creado; porque he aquí que yo he creado a Jerusalén para regocijo y a su pueblo para alegría.

19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

19 Y me regocijaré con Jerusalén y me alegraré con mi pueblo, y nunca más se oirán en ella voz de llanto ni voz de clamor.

20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.

20 No habrá más allí niño de días ni anciano que sus días no cumpla; porque el niño morirá de cien años, y el pecador de cien años será maldito.

21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

21 Y edificarán casas y morarán en ellas; y plantarán viñas y comerán el fruto de ellas.

22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

22 No edificarán para que otro habite ni plantarán para que otro coma; porque según los días de los árboles serán los días de mi pueblo, y mis escogidos disfrutarán la obra de sus manos.

23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.

23 No trabajarán en vano ni darán a luz para desgracia, porque son descendencia de los benditos de Jehová, y sus descendientes con ellos.

24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

24 Y acontecerá que antes que clamen, yo responderé; mientras aún estén ellos hablando, yo habré oído.

25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

25 El lobo y el cordero pacerán juntos, y el león comerá paja como el buey; y el polvo será el alimento de la serpiente. No harán mal ni dañarán en todo mi santo monte, ha dicho Jehová.
