1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

1 ¡Levántate, resplandece!, porque ha venido tu luz, y la gloria de Jehová ha nacido sobre ti.

2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

2 Porque he aquí que tinieblas cubrirán la tierra y oscuridad los pueblos; mas sobre ti amanecerá Jehová, y sobre ti será vista su gloria.

3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

3 Y andarán las naciones a tu luz, y los reyes al resplandor de tu amanecer.

4 Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.

4 Alza tus ojos y mira alrededor; todos estos se han reunido, han venido a ti; tus hijos vendrán de lejos, y tus hijas serán llevadas en brazos.

5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

5 Entonces lo verás y resplandecerás; y se estremecerá y ensanchará tu corazón, porque se habrá vuelto a ti la abundancia del mar, y las riquezas de las naciones habrán llegado hasta ti.

6 The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.

6 Multitud de camellos te cubrirá, dromedarios de Madián y de Efa; vendrán todos los de Sabá; traerán oro e incienso y proclamarán las alabanzas de Jehová.

7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.

7 Todo el ganado de Cedar será juntado para ti; carneros de Nebaiot estarán a tu disposición; serán ofrecidos con agrado sobre mi altar, y glorificaré la casa de mi gloria.

8 Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?

8 ¿Quiénes son estos que vuelan como nubes y como palomas a sus ventanas?

9 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.

9 Ciertamente a mí me esperarán las islas y las naves de Tarsis desde el principio, para traer a tus hijos de lejos, su plata y su oro con ellos, al nombre de Jehová tu Dios y al Santo de Israel, porque te ha glorificado.

10 And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.

10 Y los hijos de los extranjeros edificarán tus muros, y sus reyes te servirán, porque en mi ira te herí, mas en mi buena voluntad tendré de ti misericordia.

11 Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.

11 Tus puertas estarán de continuo abiertas; no se cerrarán de día ni de noche, para que a ti sean traídas las riquezas de las naciones y conducidos a ti sus reyes,

12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.

12 porque la nación y el reino que no te sirvan perecerán; y esas naciones serán del todo asoladas.

13 The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.

13 La gloria del Líbano vendrá a ti, cipreses, pinos y abetos juntamente, para embellecer el lugar de mi santuario; y yo glorificaré el lugar de mis pies.

14 The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

14 Y vendrán ante ti humillados los hijos de los que te afligieron, y a las plantas de tus pies se encorvarán todos los que te escarnecían, y te llamarán Ciudad de Jehová, Sion del Santo de Israel.

15 Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.

15 En lugar de estar abandonada y aborrecida, tanto que no había quien pasase por ti, te pondré en exaltación eterna, gozo de generación en generación.

16 Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

16 Y serás amamantada con la leche de las naciones, y serás amamantada del pecho de los reyes; y sabrás que yo, Jehová, soy tu Salvador y tu Redentor, el Fuerte de Jacob.

17 For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.

17 En vez de bronce traeré oro, y en lugar de hierro traeré plata; y en lugar de madera, bronce; y en lugar de piedras, hierro; y pondré la paz como tus gobernantes y la justicia como tus capataces.

18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.

18 Nunca más se oirá de violencia en tu tierra, ni de destrucción ni de quebrantamiento en tus territorios, sino que a tus muros llamarás Salvación, y a tus puertas, Alabanza.

19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

19 El sol nunca más te servirá de luz para el día, ni el resplandor de la luna te alumbrará, sino que Jehová te será luz eterna, y el Dios tuyo, tu gloria.

20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

20 No se pondrá jamás tu sol ni menguará tu luna, porque Jehová te será luz eterna, y los días de tu duelo se acabarán.

21 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

21 Y tu pueblo, todos ellos, serán justos; para siempre heredarán la tierra; serán los renuevos de mi plantío, obra de mis manos, para glorificarme.

22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.

22 El pequeño llegará a ser un millar; el menor, una nación poderosa. Yo Jehová, a su tiempo, lo apresuraré.
