1 Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

1 He aquí que no se ha acortado la mano de Jehová para salvar, ni se ha endurecido su oído para oír;

2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

2 pero vuestras iniquidades han hecho separación entre vosotros y vuestro Dios, y vuestros pecados han hecho ocultar su rostro de vosotros para no oíros.

3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.

3 Porque vuestras manos están contaminadas de sangre y vuestros dedos de iniquidad; vuestros labios pronuncian mentira, y habla maldad vuestra lengua.

4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

4 No hay quien clame por la justicia ni quien juzgue con integridad; confían en la confusión y hablan vanidades; conciben malicia y dan a luz iniquidad.

5 They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.

5 Incuban huevos de áspides y tejen telas de araña; el que coma de sus huevos morirá; y del que se rompa, saldrá una víbora.

6 Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.

6 Sus telas no servirán para vestir, ni de sus obras serán cubiertos; sus obras son obras de iniquidad, y obra de violencia está en sus manos.

7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.

7 Sus pies corren al mal, y se apresuran a derramar sangre inocente; sus pensamientos son pensamientos de iniquidad; destrucción y desolación hay en sus caminos.

8 The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.

8 No conocieron camino de paz, ni hay justicia en sus caminos; sus veredas son torcidas; nadie que por ellas camine conocerá paz.

9 Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.

9 Por esto se aleja de nosotros el juicio, y no nos alcanza la justicia; esperamos luz, y he aquí tinieblas; resplandores, y andamos en oscuridad.

10 We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.

10 Palpamos la pared como ciegos, y andamos a tientas como los que no tienen ojos; tropezamos al mediodía como de noche; estamos como muertos en lugares desolados.

11 We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.

11 Todos nosotros gruñimos como osos y gemimos lastimeramente como palomas; esperamos justicia, y no la hay; salvación, pero lejos está de nosotros.

12 For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;

12 Porque nuestras transgresiones se han multiplicado delante de ti, y nuestros pecados han atestiguado contra nosotros; porque con nosotros están nuestras transgresiones, y conocemos nuestras iniquidades:

13 In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.

13 el transgredir y mentir contra Jehová, y el apartarse de en pos de nuestro Dios; el hablar de opresión y rebelión, concebir y proferir desde el corazón palabras de mentira.

14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.

14 Y el derecho se retira, y la justicia se pone lejos, porque la verdad ha tropezado en la plaza y la equidad no puede entrar.

15 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.

15 Sí, la verdad falta; y el que se aparta del mal es despojado. Y lo vio Jehová, y desagradó a sus ojos que no hubiera justicia.

16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

16 Y vio que no había hombre y se maravilló de que no hubiera quien intercediese; por tanto, lo salvó su brazo, y le sostuvo su misma justicia.

17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.

17 Pues de justicia se vistió como de una coraza, y con yelmo de salvación en su cabeza; y se puso ropas de venganza por vestidura y se vistió de celo como con un manto.

18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.

18 De acuerdo con sus hechos, así él pagará: furor para sus adversarios, retribución para sus enemigos; el pago dará a las islas.

19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

19 Y temerán desde el occidente el nombre de Jehová; y desde el nacimiento del sol, su gloria. Cuando venga el enemigo como río impetuoso, el espíritu de Jehová levantará bandera contra él.

20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.

20 Y vendrá el Redentor a Sion y a los que se vuelvan de la transgresión en Jacob, dice Jehová.

21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.

21 Y este será mi convenio con ellos, dice Jehová: Mi espíritu que está sobre ti y mis palabras que he puesto en tu boca no se apartarán de tu boca, ni de la boca de tu descendencia ni de la boca de la descendencia de tu descendencia, dice Jehová, desde ahora y para siempre.
