1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

1 ¿Quién ha creído nuestro mensaje? ¿Y a quién se ha manifestado el brazo de Jehová?

2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

2 Porque subirá cual renuevo delante de él y como raíz de tierra seca; no hay parecer en él ni hermosura; y cuando le veamos, no habrá en él atractivo para que le deseemos.

3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

3 Despreciado y desechado entre los hombres, varón de dolores y experimentado en quebranto; y como que escondimos de él el rostro, fue menospreciado y no lo estimamos.

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

4 Ciertamente llevó él nuestras enfermedades y sufrió nuestros dolores, y nosotros le tuvimos por azotado, herido por Dios y afligido.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

5 Mas él herido fue por nuestras transgresiones, molido por nuestras iniquidades; el castigo de nuestra paz fue sobre él, y por sus heridas fuimos nosotros sanados.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

6 Todos nosotros nos hemos descarriado como ovejas; cada cual se ha apartado por su propio camino; mas Jehová cargó en él la iniquidad de todos nosotros.

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

7 Fue oprimido y afligido, pero no abrió su boca; como cordero fue llevado al matadero; y como oveja delante de sus trasquiladores enmudeció, así no abrió su boca.

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

8 De la cárcel y del juicio fue quitado; y su generación, ¿quién la declarará? Porque fue arrancado de la tierra de los vivientes; por la transgresión de mi pueblo fue herido.

9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

9 Y él dispuso con los inicuos su sepultura y con el rico fue en su muerte; aunque nunca hizo él maldad, ni hubo engaño en su boca.

10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

10 Con todo eso, Jehová quiso quebrantarlo, sujetándole a padecimiento. Cuando haya puesto su alma como ofrenda por la culpa, verá su linaje, prolongará sus días, y la voluntad de Jehová prosperará en su mano.

11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

11 Por la aflicción de su alma verá y quedará satisfecho; por su conocimiento mi siervo justo justificará a muchos, y él llevará las iniquidades de ellos.

12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

12 Por tanto, yo le daré parte con los grandes, y con los poderosos repartirá el botín; porque derramó su vida hasta la muerte y fue contado con los transgresores, habiendo él llevado el pecado de muchos e intercedido por los transgresores.
