1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

1 Lo que vio Isaías hijo de Amoz tocante a Judá y a Jerusalén.

2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

2 Y acontecerá en los postreros días que será establecido el monte de la casa de Jehová como cabeza de los montes, y será exaltado sobre los collados, y correrán a él todas las naciones.

3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

3 Y vendrán muchos pueblos y dirán: Venid, y subamos al monte de Jehová, a la casa del Dios de Jacob; y nos enseñará acerca de sus caminos, y caminaremos por sus sendas. Porque de Sion saldrá la ley, y de Jerusalén la palabra de Jehová.

4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

4 Y juzgará entre las naciones y reprenderá a muchos pueblos; y forjarán sus espadas en rejas de arado y sus lanzas en hoces; no alzará espada nación contra nación ni se adiestrarán más para la guerra.

5 O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

5 Venid, oh casa de Jacob, y caminemos a la luz de Jehová.

6 Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.

6 Ciertamente tú has dejado tu pueblo, la casa de Jacob, porque están llenos de costumbres del oriente y de agoreros, como los filisteos; y pactan con hijos de extranjeros.

7 Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:

7 Su tierra está llena de plata y de oro; sus tesoros no tienen fin. También está su tierra llena de caballos, y sus carros son sin número.

8 Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:

8 Además, su tierra está llena de ídolos; ante la obra de sus manos se han arrodillado, ante lo que fabricaron sus dedos.

9 And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.

9 Y se ha inclinado el hombre, y el varón se ha humillado; por tanto, no los perdones.

10 Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.

10 Métete en la peña y escóndete en el polvo de la presencia terrible de Jehová y de la gloria de su majestad.

11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

11 La altivez de la mirada del hombre será abatida, y la soberbia de los hombres será humillada; y solo Jehová será exaltado en aquel día.

12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

12 Porque el día de Jehová de los ejércitos vendrá sobre todo soberbio y altivo, y sobre todo el que se haya ensalzado, y será abatido;

13 And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,

13 y sobre todos los cedros del Líbano altos y erguidos, y sobre todas las encinas de Basán;

14 And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,

14 y sobre todos los montes altos y sobre todos los collados elevados;

15 And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,

15 y sobre toda torre alta y sobre todo muro fortificado;

16 And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.

16 y sobre todas las naves de Tarsis, y sobre todas las pinturas preciadas.

17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

17 Y la altivez del hombre será abatida, y la soberbia de los hombres será humillada; y solo Jehová será exaltado en aquel día.

18 And the idols he shall utterly abolish.

18 Y quitará totalmente los ídolos.

19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

19 Y se meterán en las cavernas de las peñas y en las aberturas de la tierra, por la presencia temible de Jehová y por la gloria de su majestad, cuando él se levante para hacer temblar la tierra.

20 In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

20 Aquel día arrojará el hombre a los topos y a los murciélagos sus ídolos de plata y sus ídolos de oro, que le hicieron para que adorase,

21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

21 para meterse en las hendiduras de las rocas y en las cavernas de las peñas, por la presencia temible de Jehová y por la gloria de su majestad, cuando se levante para hacer temblar la tierra.

22 Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?

22 Dejaos del hombre cuyo aliento está en su nariz, pues, ¿de qué es él estimado?
