1 O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.

1 ¡Vuélvete, oh Israel, a Jehová tu Dios, porque por tu iniquidad has caído!

2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.

2 Tomad con vosotros palabras, y volveos a Jehová y decidle: Quita toda iniquidad y acépta nos bien, y ofreceremos el fruto de nuestros labios.

3 Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.

3 No nos librará Asiria; no montaremos a caballo ni nunca más diremos a la obra de nuestras manos: Dioses nuestros, porque en ti el huérfano alcanzará misericordia.

4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.

4 Yo los sanaré de su rebelión; los amaré por mi propia voluntad, porque mi furor se apartó de ellos.

5 I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

5 Yo seré a Israel como el rocío; él florecerá como lirio y extenderá sus raíces como el Líbano.

6 His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon.

6 Se extenderán sus ramas, y será su gloria como la del olivo y su fragancia como la del Líbano.

7 They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.

7 Volverán los que moran bajo su sombra; serán vivificados como trigo y florecerán como la vid; su fama será como la del vino del Líbano.

8 Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.

8 Efraín: ¿Qué tengo yo que ver ya con los ídolos? Yo respondo y lo cuido; yo seré a él como el ciprés verde; en mí será hallado tu fruto.

9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.

9 ¿Quién es sabio para que entienda esto, y prudente para que lo sepa? Porque los caminos de Jehová son rectos, y los justos andarán por ellos; mas los rebeldes caerán en ellos.
