1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

1 Y vino a mí la palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

2 Son of man, set thy face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them,

2 Hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro hacia los montes de Israel y profetiza contra ellos.

3 And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.

3 Y di: Montes de Israel, escuchad la palabra de Jehová el Señor: Así ha dicho Jehová el Señor a los montes y a los collados, a los arroyos y a los valles: He aquí que yo, yo haré venir sobre vosotros la espada y destruiré vuestros lugares altos.

4 And your altars shall be desolate, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain men before your idols.

4 Y vuestros altares serán asolados, y vuestras imágenes serán quebradas; y haré que caigan vuestros muertos delante de vuestros ídolos.

5 And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.

5 Y pondré los cuerpos muertos de los hijos de Israel delante de sus ídolos, y vuestros huesos esparciré alrededor de vuestros altares.

6 In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.

6 En todos los lugares donde habitéis serán arruinadas las ciudades, y los lugares altos serán asolados, para que queden asolados y devastados vuestros altares; y vuestros ídolos serán quebrados y cesarán de existir, y vuestras imágenes serán destruidas, y vuestras obras serán deshechas.

7 And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

7 Y los muertos caerán en medio de vosotros, y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

8 Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.

8 Pero dejaré un remanente, de modo que tengáis entre las naciones a algunos que escapen de la espada cuando seáis esparcidos por las tierras.

9 And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

9 Y los que de vosotros escapen se acordarán de mí entre las naciones adonde serán llevados cautivos; porque yo me quebranté a causa de su corazón fornicario que se apartó de mí, y a causa de sus ojos que fornicaron tras sus ídolos; y se aborrecerán a sí mismos por los males que hicieron en todas sus abominaciones.

10 And they shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.

10 Y sabrán que yo soy Jehová; no en vano dije que les había de hacer este mal.

11 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Smite with thine hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.

11 Así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: Golpea con tu mano y pisotea con tu pie, y di: ¡Ay, de la casa de Israel por todas las terribles abominaciones!, porque con espada, con hambre y con pestilencia caerán.

12 He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remaineth and is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will I accomplish my fury upon them.

12 El que esté lejos morirá de pestilencia, y el que esté cerca caerá a espada, y el que quede y sea asediado morirá de hambre; así consumaré en ellos mi enojo.

13 Then shall ye know that I am the LORD, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols.

13 Y sabréis que yo soy Jehová cuando sus muertos estén en medio de sus ídolos, alrededor de sus altares, en todo collado alto y en todas las cumbres de los montes, y debajo de todo árbol frondoso y debajo de toda encina espesa, lugares donde ofrecían olor grato a todos sus ídolos.

14 So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

14 Y extenderé mi mano contra ellos, y en todos los lugares donde habiten haré la tierra desolada, sí, más desolada que el desierto hacia Diblat; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.
