1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

1 Y vino a mí la palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

2 Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yea, thou shalt shew her all her abominations.

2 Y tú, hijo de hombre, ¿no juzgarás tú, no juzgarás tú a la ciudad sanguinaria? Sí, le mostrarás todas sus abominaciones.

3 Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself.

3 Dirás, pues: Así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: ¡Ciudad derramadora de sangre en medio de sí, para que venga su hora, y que hizo ídolos contra sí misma para contaminarse!

4 Thou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed; and hast defiled thyself in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.

4 Por la sangre que derramaste eres culpable y te has contaminado con tus ídolos que hiciste; y has hecho acercar tus días y has llegado a tus años; por tanto, te he dado en oprobio a las naciones y en escarnio a todas las tierras.

5 Those that be near, and those that be far from thee, shall mock thee, which art infamous and much vexed.

5 Las que están cerca de ti y las que están lejos se burlarán de ti, amancillada de nombre y de gran turbación.

6 Behold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed blood.

6 He aquí que los príncipes de Israel, cada uno según su poder, estuvieron en ti para derramar sangre.

7 In thee have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.

7 Al padre y a la madre despreciaron en ti; al extranjero trataron con opresión en medio de ti; al huérfano y a la viuda oprimieron en ti.

8 Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.

8 Mis cosas sagradas has despreciado y mis días de reposo has profanado.

9 In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they commit lewdness.

9 Calumniadores hubo en ti para derramar sangre, y sobre los montes comieron en ti; hicieron perversidades en medio de ti.

10 In thee have they discovered their fathers' nakedness: in thee have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution.

10 La desnudez del padre descubrieron en ti; en ti abusaron de la que estaba impura por su menstruación.

11 And one hath committed abomination with his neighbour's wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father's daughter.

11 Y uno ha cometido abominación con la mujer de su prójimo; y otro ha contaminado pervertidamente a su nuera, y en ti otro ha violado a su hermana, hija de su padre.

12 In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord GOD.

12 Soborno han recibido en ti para derramar sangre; y han tomado usura e interés, y a tus prójimos has defraudado con extorsión; y te has olvidado de mí, dice Jehová el Señor.

13 Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.

13 Y he aquí que golpeé mi mano a causa de las ganancias deshonestas que has adquirido y a causa de la sangre que ha habido en medio de ti.

14 Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it.

14 ¿Estará firme tu corazón? ¿Serán fuertes tus manos en los días en que yo actúe contra ti? Yo, Jehová, he hablado, y lo haré.

15 And I will scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countries, and will consume thy filthiness out of thee.

15 Y yo te esparciré entre las naciones, y te dispersaré por las tierras, y eliminaré de ti tu inmundicia.

16 And thou shalt take thine inheritance in thyself in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.

16 Y por ti misma serás profanada ante los ojos de las naciones; y sabrás que yo soy Jehová.

17 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

17 Y vino a mí la palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

18 Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver.

18 Hijo de hombre, la casa de Israel se me ha convertido en escoria; todos ellos son bronce, y estaño, y hierro y plomo en medio del horno; escoria de plata son.

19 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.

19 Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: Por cuanto todos vosotros os habéis convertido en escoria, por tanto, he aquí que yo os reuniré en medio de Jerusalén.

20 As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you.

20 Como quien junta plata, y bronce, y hierro, y plomo y estaño en medio del horno, para encender fuego en él para fundirlos; así os juntaré en mi furor y en mi ira, y os juntaré allí y os fundiré.

21 Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.

21 Y os juntaré y soplaré sobre vosotros en el fuego de mi furor, y en medio de él seréis fundidos.

22 As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.

22 Como se funde la plata en medio del horno, así seréis fundidos en medio de él; y sabréis que yo, Jehová, habré derramado mi enojo sobre vosotros.

23 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

23 Y vino a mí la palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

24 Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.

24 Hijo de hombre, di a ella: Tú eres tierra que no ha sido purificada ni mojada con lluvia en el día de la indignación.

25 There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.

25 Hay conspiración de sus profetas en medio de ella, como león rugiente que arrebata la presa; han devorado almas, han tomado riquezas y cosas preciosas, y han multiplicado sus viudas en medio de ella.

26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

26 Sus sacerdotes han violado mi ley y han profanado mis cosas sagradas; entre lo sagrado y lo profano no han hecho diferencia ni han enseñado a distinguir entre lo inmundo y lo limpio; y de mis días de reposo han escondido sus ojos, y yo he sido profanado en medio de ellos.

27 Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.

27 Sus príncipes en medio de ella son como lobos que arrebatan la presa para derramar sangre, y para destruir las almas, a fin de obtener ganancias deshonestas.

28 And her prophets have daubed them with untempered mortar, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.

28 Y sus profetas recubrían con lodo suelto, viendo visiones falsas y adivinándoles mentira, diciendo: Así ha dicho Jehová el Señor; y Jehová no había hablado.

29 The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.

29 El pueblo de la tierra oprimía y cometía robo. Y al afligido y al menesteroso ha maltratado y al extranjero ha oprimido sin derecho.

30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

30 Y busqué entre ellos un hombre que hiciese vallado y que se pusiese en la brecha delante de mí, a favor de la tierra, para que yo no la destruyese, pero no lo hallé.

31 Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.

31 Por tanto, derramé sobre ellos mi indignación; con el fuego de mi ira los consumí. Puse el camino de ellos sobre su propia cabeza, dice Jehová el Señor.
