1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.

1 Y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, ponte sobre tus pies, y hablaré contigo.

2 And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.

2 Y cuando me habló, entró el espíritu en mí y me puso sobre mis pies, y oí al que me hablaba.

3 And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.

3 Y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, yo te envío a los hijos de Israel, a una nación de rebeldes que se rebelaron contra mí; ellos y sus padres se han rebelado contra mí hasta este mismo día.

4 For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.

4 Yo, pues, te envío a hijos de duro rostro y de empedernido corazón, y les dirás: Así ha dicho Jehová el Señor.

5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

5 Acaso ellos escuchen; y si no escuchan (porque son una casa rebelde), sabrán que hubo un profeta entre ellos.

6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

6 Y tú, hijo de hombre, no temas; no tengas miedo ni de ellos ni de sus palabras, aunque te hallas entre zarzas y espinos y moras con escorpiones; no tengas miedo de sus palabras ni temas delante de ellos, porque son una casa rebelde.

7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.

7 Les hablarás, pues, mis palabras, ya sea que escuchen o dejen de escuchar, porque son muy rebeldes.

8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

8 Mas tú, hijo de hombre, oye lo que yo te hablo; no seas tú rebelde como esa casa rebelde; abre tu boca y come lo que yo te doy.

9 And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;

9 Y miré y vi una mano extendida hacia mí, y en ella había un rollo de libro.

10 And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

10 Y lo extendió delante de mí, y estaba escrito por delante y por detrás; y estaban escritos en él lamentaciones, y gemidos y ayes.
