1 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

1 Y vino a mí la palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

2 Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,

2 Hijo de hombre, da a conocer a Jerusalén sus abominaciones,

3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity is of the land of Canaan; thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite.

3 y di: Así ha dicho Jehová el Señor sobre Jerusalén: Tu origen y tu nacimiento son de la tierra del cananeo; tu padre era amorreo y tu madre hetea.

4 And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.

4 Y en cuanto a tu nacimiento, el día en que naciste no fue cortado tu cordón umbilical, ni fuiste lavada con agua para limpiarte, ni frotada con sal ni fuiste envuelta en pañales.

5 None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.

5 No hubo ojo que se compadeciese de ti, para hacerte algo de eso, teniendo de ti misericordia, sino que fuiste echada sobre la faz del campo, con desprecio por tu vida, el día en que naciste.

6 And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live.

6 Y yo pasé junto a ti, y te vi agitándote en tu propia sangre y te dije: En tu propia sangre, vive; vive, te dije, en tu propia sangre.

7 I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare.

7 Te hice multiplicar como la hierba del campo; y creciste, y te hiciste grande y llegaste a ser mujer hermosa; tus pechos se formaron, y tu pelo creció, pero tú estabas desnuda y descubierta.

8 Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.

8 Y pasé yo junto a ti y te miré, y he aquí que tu tiempo era tiempo de amores; y extendí mi manto sobre ti y cubrí tu desnudez; y te hice juramento y entré en convenio contigo, dice Jehová el Señor, y fuiste mía.

9 Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.

9 Y te lavé con agua, y lavé tu sangre de encima de ti y te ungí con aceite;

10 I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.

10 y te puse un vestido bordado, y te calcé de tejón, y te ceñí de lino fino y te cubrí de seda.

11 I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.

11 Y te atavié con ornamentos, y puse brazaletes en tus brazos y un collar en tu cuello;

12 And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.

12 y puse un anillo en tu nariz, y zarcillos en tus orejas y una hermosa corona en tu cabeza.

13 Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.

13 Y fuiste adornada de oro y de plata, y tu vestido era de lino fino, y de seda y bordado; comiste flor de harina, y miel y aceite; y fuiste hermoseada en extremo y prosperaste hasta llegar a reinar.

14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.

14 Y salió tu renombre entre las naciones a causa de tu hermosura, porque era perfecta por el esplendor que yo puse sobre ti, dice Jehová el Señor.

15 But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.

15 Pero confiaste en tu hermosura, y te prostituiste a causa de tu renombre y derramaste tus fornicaciones a cuantos pasaron; suya fuiste.

16 And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.

16 Y tomaste de tus vestidos, y te hiciste lugares altos de diversos colores y te prostituiste en ellos. ¡Cosa semejante nunca había sucedido ni volverá a suceder!

17 Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them,

17 Tomaste asimismo tus bellas joyas de mi oro y de mi plata, que yo te había dado, y te hiciste imágenes de hombres y te prostituiste con ellas.

18 And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.

18 Y tomaste tus vestidos bordados y las cubriste, y mi aceite y mi incienso pusiste delante de ellas.

19 My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord GOD.

19 Mi pan también, que yo te había dado, la flor de harina, y el aceite y la miel con que yo te alimentaba, pusiste delante de ellas para olor grato; y fue así, dice Jehová el Señor.

20 Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter,

20 Además de esto, tomaste tus hijos y tus hijas que habías dado a luz para mí, y los sacrificaste a ellas para que fuesen consumidos. ¿Eran poca cosa tus fornicaciones,

21 That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?

21 para que mataras a mis hijos y se los dieras para hacerlos pasar por el fuego ante ellas?

22 And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood.

22 Y con todas tus abominaciones y tus fornicaciones no te has acordado de los días de tu juventud, cuando estabas desnuda y descubierta, agitándote en tu propia sangre.

23 And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord GOD;)

23 Y sucedió que después de toda tu maldad (¡ay, ay de ti!, dice Jehová el Señor),

24 That thou hast also built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee an high place in every street.

24 te construiste un lugar elevado y te hiciste lugares altos en todas las plazas.

25 Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredoms.

25 En toda cabecera de camino edificaste tu lugar alto, e hiciste abominable tu hermosura, y te entregaste a cuantos pasaban y multiplicaste tus fornicaciones.

26 Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to anger.

26 Y fornicaste con los hijos de Egipto, tus vecinos, robustos de cuerpo; y aumentaste tus fornicaciones para provocarme a ira.

27 Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.

27 Por tanto, he aquí que yo extendí contra ti mi mano y disminuí tu provisión ordinaria; y te entregué a la voluntad de las hijas de los filisteos que te aborrecen, las cuales se avergüenzan de tu malvado camino.

28 Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied.

28 Fornicaste también con los hijos de Asiria por no haberte saciado; fornicaste con ellos y tampoco te saciaste.

29 Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith.

29 Multiplicaste asimismo tu fornicación en la tierra de Canaán, hasta Caldea, y tampoco con esto te saciaste.

30 How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an imperious whorish woman;

30 ¡Cuán débil es tu corazón!, dice Jehová el Señor, habiendo hecho todas estas cosas, obras de una ramera desvergonzada,

31 In that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thine high place in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in that thou scornest hire;

31 edificando tu montículo en la cabecera de todo camino y haciendo tu lugar alto en todas las plazas. Y no fuiste semejante a ramera al menospreciar la paga,

32 But as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh strangers instead of her husband!

32 sino como esposa adúltera, que en lugar de su marido recibe a extraños.

33 They give gifts to all whores: but thou givest thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hirest them, that they may come unto thee on every side for thy whoredom.

33 A todas las rameras les dan presentes, pero tú diste tus presentes a todos tus amantes; y les diste presentes para que viniesen a ti de todas partes por tus fornicaciones.

34 And the contrary is in thee from other women in thy whoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit whoredoms: and in that thou givest a reward, and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thou art contrary.

34 Y ha sucedido contigo, en tus fornicaciones, lo contrario de las otras mujeres: porque ninguno te ha seguido para fornicar, y tú das la paga en lugar de recibirla; por eso has sido diferente.

35 Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD:

35 Por tanto, ramera, escucha la palabra de Jehová:

36 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give unto them;

36 Así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: Por cuanto ha sido derramada tu inmundicia y ha sido descubierta tu desnudez en tus fornicaciones con tus amantes y con todos los ídolos de tus abominaciones, y por la sangre de tus hijos, los cuales les diste;

37 Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them that thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.

37 por tanto, he aquí que yo reuniré a todos tus amantes con los cuales tuviste placer, y a todos los que amaste con todos los que aborreciste; y los reuniré contra ti alrededor y les descubriré tu desnudez, y ellos verán toda tu desnudez.

38 And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy.

38 Y yo te juzgaré como se juzga a las adúlteras y a las que derraman sangre; y traeré sobre ti sangre de ira y de celo.

39 And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.

39 Y te entregaré en manos de ellos; y destruirán tu lugar elevado y derribarán tus lugares altos. Y te despojarán de tus ropas, y se llevarán tus bellas joyas y te dejarán desnuda y descubierta.

40 They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.

40 Y harán subir contra ti una multitud, y te apedrearán y te atravesarán con sus espadas.

41 And they shall burn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more.

41 Y quemarán tus casas con fuego y harán en ti juicios ante los ojos de muchas mujeres; y así haré que dejes de ser ramera, y no darás más paga a tus amantes.

42 So will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.

42 Y apaciguaré mi ira sobre ti, y se apartará de ti mi celo, y descansaré y no me enojaré más.

43 Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all these things; behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord GOD: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations.

43 Por cuanto no te acordaste de los días de tu juventud y me provocaste a ira en todo esto, por eso, he aquí, yo también haré recaer tu camino sobre tu cabeza, dice Jehová el Señor; pues no cometerás esta maldad además de todas tus otras abominaciones.

44 Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.

44 He aquí, todo el que usa de refranes usará este refrán contra ti, diciendo: Cual la madre, tal la hija.

45 Thou art thy mother's daughter, that lotheth her husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, which lothed their husbands and their children: your mother was an Hittite, and your father an Amorite.

45 Hija eres tú de tu madre, que aborreció a su marido y a sus hijos; y hermana eres tú de tus hermanas, que aborrecieron a sus maridos y a sus hijos; vuestra madre fue hetea, y vuestro padre amorreo.

46 And thine elder sister is Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.

46 Y tu hermana mayor es Samaria, la cual con sus hijas habita a tu mano izquierda; y tu hermana menor es Sodoma, la cual con sus hijas habita a tu mano derecha.

47 Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but, as if that were a very little thing, thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways.

47 Y no solo anduviste en sus caminos e hiciste según sus abominaciones, sino que, como si esto fuera poco, te corrompiste más que ellas en todos tus caminos.

48 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.

48 Vivo yo, dice Jehová el Señor, que tu hermana Sodoma y sus hijas no han hecho como hiciste tú y tus hijas.

49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

49 He aquí que esta fue la iniquidad de Sodoma, tu hermana: soberbia, saciedad de pan y abundancia de ociosidad tuvieron ella y sus hijas; y ella no fortaleció la mano del afligido ni la del menesteroso.

50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

50 Y fueron altivas e hicieron abominación delante de mí; y cuando lo vi, las quité.

51 Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thine abominations which thou hast done.

51 Y Samaria no cometió ni la mitad de tus pecados, porque tú multiplicaste tus abominaciones más que ellas, y has justificado a tus hermanas con todas las abominaciones que hiciste.

52 Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than thou: yea, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.

52 Tú también, que juzgaste a tus hermanas, lleva tu propia vergüenza en los pecados que tú hiciste, más abominables que los de ellas; más justas son que tú; avergüénzate, pues, tú también, y lleva tu vergüenza, por cuanto has justificado a tus hermanas.

53 When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, then will I bring again the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them:

53 Yo, pues, haré volver sus cautivos, los cautivos de Sodoma y de sus hijas, y los cautivos de Samaria y de sus hijas, y haré volver a los cautivos de tus cautiverios entre ellas,

54 That thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be confounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort unto them.

54 para que tú lleves tu propia vergüenza y te avergüences de todo lo que has hecho, siendo tú motivo de consuelo para ellas.

55 When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate.

55 Y tus hermanas, Sodoma con sus hijas y Samaria con sus hijas, volverán a su primer estado; también tú y tus hijas volveréis a vuestro primer estado.

56 For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the day of thy pride,

56 Tu hermana Sodoma no fue mencionada en tu boca en el día de tus soberbias,

57 Before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of thy reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, which despise thee round about.

57 antes que tu maldad fuese descubierta. Así también, ahora llevas tú la afrenta de las hijas de Siria y de todas las hijas de los filisteos, las cuales por todos lados te desprecian.

58 Thou hast borne thy lewdness and thine abominations, saith the LORD.

58 Tú has llevado tu maldad y tus abominaciones, dice Jehová.

59 For thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, which hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant.

59 Porque así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: Yo haré contigo como tú hiciste, que despreciaste el juramento, quebrantando el convenio.

60 Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.

60 No obstante, yo tendré memoria de mi convenio que concerté contigo en los días de tu juventud, y estableceré contigo un pacto sempiterno.

61 Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant.

61 Y te acordarás de tus caminos y te avergonzarás cuando recibas a tus hermanas, las mayores que tú y las menores que tú, las cuales yo te daré por hijas, aunque no por tu convenio.

62 And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD:

62 Y estableceré mi convenio contigo, y sabrás que yo soy Jehová,

63 That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD.

63 para que te acuerdes y te avergüences, y nunca más abras la boca a causa de tu vergüenza, cuando yo haga expiación por todo lo que has hecho, dice Jehová el Señor.
