1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

1 Y vino a mí la palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

2 Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD;

2 Hijo de hombre, profetiza contra los profetas de Israel que profetizan, y di a los que profetizan de su propio corazón: Escuchad la palabra de Jehová.

3 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

3 Así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: ¡Ay de los profetas insensatos que andan en pos de su propio espíritu y nada han visto!

4 O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.

4 Como zorras en los desiertos han sido tus profetas, oh Israel.

5 Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.

5 No habéis subido a las brechas ni habéis edificado un muro para la casa de Israel, a fin de que resista firme en la batalla en el día de Jehová.

6 They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.

6 Han visto vanidad y adivinación mentirosa. Dicen: Ha dicho Jehová, pero Jehová no los ha enviado; con todo, esperan que se confirme la palabra de ellos.

7 Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it; albeit I have not spoken?

7 ¿No habéis visto visión vana y no habéis dicho adivinación mentirosa, por cuanto decís: Dijo Jehová, no habiendo yo hablado?

8 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord GOD.

8 Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: Por cuanto vosotros habéis hablado vanidad y habéis visto mentira, por tanto, he aquí, yo estoy contra vosotros, dice Jehová el Señor.

9 And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

9 Y estará mi mano contra los profetas que ven vanidad y adivinan mentira; no estarán en la congregación de mi pueblo, ni serán inscritos en el libro de la casa de Israel, ni a la tierra de Israel volverán; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová el Señor.

10 Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered mortar:

10 Sí, porque desviaron a mi pueblo, diciendo: Paz, y no había paz; y uno edificaba la pared, y he aquí que los otros la recubrían con lodo suelto.

11 Say unto them which daub it with untempered mortar, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.

11 Di a los que recubren con cal que caerá; vendrá lluvia torrencial, y caeréis vosotras, oh piedras de granizo; y viento tempestuoso la romperá.

12 Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?

12 Y he aquí, cuando la pared haya caído, ¿no os preguntarán dónde está el revoque con que la recubristeis?

13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.

13 Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: Y haré que la rompa un viento tempestuoso con mi ira, y una lluvia torrencial vendrá con mi furor, y piedras de granizo con enojo para consumirla.

14 So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered mortar, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

14 Así desbarataré la pared que vosotros recubristeis con cal, y la echaré a tierra, y será descubierto su cimiento; y caerá, y seréis consumidos en medio de ella; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

15 Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered mortar, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;

15 Cumpliré así mi furor en la pared y en los que la recubrieron con cal, y os diré: Ya no existe la pared ni los que la recubrieron,

16 To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord GOD.

16 los profetas de Israel que profetizan acerca de Jerusalén y que ven para ella visiones de paz, cuando no hay paz, dice Jehová el Señor.

17 Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,

17 Y tú, hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro contra las hijas de tu pueblo que profetizan de su propio corazón, y profetiza contra ellas,

18 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?

18 y di: Así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: ¡Ay de las que cosen cintas para todas las coyunturas de las manos y hacen velos para la cabeza de personas de toda estatura para cazar las almas! ¿Habéis de cazar las almas de mi pueblo para salvar así vuestra propia vida?

19 And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?

19 ¿Y habéis de profanarme entre mi pueblo por puñados de cebada y por pedazos de pan, matando a las personas que no deben morir, y dando vida a las personas que no deben vivir, mintiendo a mi pueblo que escucha la mentira?

20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.

20 Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová el Señor: He aquí, yo estoy contra vuestras cintas, con las que cazáis las almas al vuelo; yo las arrancaré de vuestros brazos, y soltaré las almas que cazáis para que vuelen como aves.

21 Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

21 Romperé asimismo vuestros velos y libraré a mi pueblo de vuestra mano, y no estarán más como presa en vuestra mano; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

22 Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:

22 Por cuanto entristecisteis con mentiras el corazón del justo, al cual yo no entristecí, y fortalecisteis las manos del malvado para que no se apartase de su mal camino, infundiéndole ánimo,

23 Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

23 por tanto, no veréis más vanidad ni adivinaréis más adivinación; y libraré a mi pueblo de vuestras manos; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.
