1 Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

1 Y aconteció en el año treinta, en el mes cuarto, a los cinco días del mes, que, estando yo en medio de los cautivos, junto al río Quebar, los cielos se abrieron y vi visiones de Dios.

2 In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin's captivity,

2 A los cinco días del mes, en el quinto año del cautiverio del rey Joaquín,

3 The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him.

3 vino directamente la palabra de Jehová al sacerdote Ezequiel hijo de Buzi, en la tierra de los caldeos, junto al río Quebar; y vino allí sobre él la mano de Jehová.

4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

4 Y miré, y he aquí, un viento tempestuoso venía del norte, una gran nube y un fuego relampagueante, y alrededor de él un resplandor, y en medio del fuego algo que parecía como de ámbar,

5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.

5 y en medio de ella, la figura de cuatro seres vivientes. Y esta era su apariencia: había en ellos semejanza de hombre.

6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.

6 Y cada uno tenía cuatro caras y cuatro alas.

7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.

7 Y las piernas de ellos eran derechas, y la planta de sus pies como planta de pezuña de becerro; y centelleaban a manera de bronce muy bruñido.

8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.

8 Y debajo de sus alas, a sus cuatro lados, tenían manos de hombre; y los cuatro tenían sus caras y sus alas.

9 Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.

9 Con las alas se tocaban el uno al otro. No se desviaban cuando andaban; cada uno caminaba derecho hacia delante.

10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.

10 Y el aspecto de sus caras era como cara de hombre, y cara de león en el lado derecho de los cuatro, y cara de buey en el lado izquierdo de los cuatro; asimismo los cuatro tenían cara de águila.

11 Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.

11 Así eran sus caras; y sus alas estaban extendidas hacia arriba; dos de las cuales se tocaban entre sí y con las otras dos cubrían sus cuerpos.

12 And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.

12 Y cada uno caminaba derecho hacia delante; hacia donde el espíritu los llevaba, ellos iban; cuando andaban, no se desviaban.

13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.

13 En cuanto a la semejanza de los seres vivientes, su apariencia era como de carbones de fuego encendidos, como la apariencia de antorchas que se movían entre los seres vivientes; y el fuego resplandecía, y del fuego salían relámpagos.

14 And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.

14 Y los seres vivientes corrían y regresaban a semejanza de relámpagos.

15 Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.

15 Y miré a los seres vivientes, y he aquí, una rueda en la tierra junto a los seres vivientes con sus cuatro caras.

16 The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.

16 Y el aspecto de las ruedas y su obra era semejante al color del topacio. Y las cuatro tenían un mismo aspecto; su apariencia y su obra eran como una rueda en medio de otra rueda.

17 When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went.

17 Cuando andaban, se movían sobre sus cuatro costados; no se desviaban cuando andaban.

18 As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.

18 Y sus aros eran altos y espantosos, y los aros estaban llenos de ojos alrededor en las cuatro.

19 And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.

19 Y cuando los seres vivientes andaban, las ruedas andaban junto a ellos; y cuando los seres vivientes se levantaban de la tierra, las ruedas se levantaban.

20 Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

20 Hacia donde el espíritu iba, ellos iban allí adonde el espíritu iba, y las ruedas se levantaban juntamente con ellos, porque el espíritu de los seres vivientes estaba en las ruedas.

21 When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

21 Cuando ellos andaban, andaban ellas; y cuando ellos se detenían, se detenían ellas; asimismo, cuando se levantaban de la tierra, las ruedas se levantaban juntamente con ellos, porque el espíritu de cada ser viviente estaba en las ruedas.

22 And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.

22 Y sobre las cabezas de los seres vivientes aparecía un firmamento a manera de cristal maravilloso, extendido por encima de sus cabezas.

23 And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.

23 Y debajo del firmamento sus alas se extendían derechas la una hacia la otra; cada uno tenía dos alas con las que cubrían sus cuerpos por un lado y por el otro.

24 And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.

24 Y oí el ruido de sus alas cuando andaban, como sonido de muchas aguas, como la voz del Omnipotente, como ruido de muchedumbre, como la voz de un ejército. Cuando se detenían, bajaban sus alas.

25 And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.

25 Y cuando se detenían y bajaban sus alas, se oía una voz por encima del firmamento que estaba sobre sus cabezas.

26 And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

26 Y sobre el firmamento que estaba sobre sus cabezas se veía la figura de un trono que parecía de piedra de zafiro; y en lo más alto, sobre la figura del trono, había algo a semejanza de un hombre sentado sobre él.

27 And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.

27 Y vi algo que tenía la apariencia de ámbar, como la apariencia del fuego dentro de ella alrededor, desde el aspecto de sus lomos hacia arriba; y desde sus lomos hacia abajo, vi que parecía como fuego y que tenía un resplandor alrededor.

28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.

28 Como el aspecto del arco iris que está en las nubes en día de lluvia, así era el aspecto del resplandor alrededor. Esta fue la visión de la semejanza de la gloria de Jehová. Y cuando yo la vi, me postré sobre mi rostro y oí la voz de uno que hablaba.
