1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

1 Y Jehová habló a Moisés, diciendo:

2 Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.

2 Conságrame todo primogénito, todo el que abre matriz entre los hijos de Israel, tanto de los hombres como de los animales, mío es.

3 And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.

3 Y Moisés dijo al pueblo: Tened memoria de este día, en el cual habéis salido de Egipto, de la casa de servidumbre, pues Jehová os ha sacado de aquí con mano fuerte; por tanto, no comeréis nada leudado.

4 This day came ye out in the month Abib.

4 Vosotros salís hoy, en el mes de Abib.

5 And it shall be when the LORD shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, that thou shalt keep this service in this month.

5 Y cuando Jehová te haya llevado a la tierra del cananeo, y del heteo, y del amorreo, y del heveo y del jebuseo, la cual juró a tus padres que te daría, tierra que destila leche y miel, harás esta celebración en este mes.

6 Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to the LORD.

6 Siete días comerás pan sin leudar, y el séptimo día será fiesta para Jehová.

7 Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy quarters.

7 Durante los siete días se comerán los panes sin levadura, y no se verá contigo nada leudado, ni levadura en todo tu territorio.

8 And thou shalt shew thy son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the LORD did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.

8 Y le contarás en aquel día a tu hijo, diciendo: Se hace esto con motivo de lo que Jehová hizo conmigo cuando me sacó de Egipto.

9 And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD's law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt.

9 Y te será como una señal en tu mano y como un recordatorio delante de tus ojos, para que la ley de Jehová esté en tu boca, por cuanto con mano fuerte te sacó Jehová de Egipto.

10 Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.

10 Por tanto, tú guardarás este rito en su tiempo de año en año.

11 And it shall be when the LORD shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, as he sware unto thee and to thy fathers, and shall give it thee,

11 Y cuando Jehová te haya llevado a la tierra del cananeo, como te ha jurado a ti y a tus padres, y cuando te la haya dado,

12 That thou shalt set apart unto the LORD all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the LORD's.

12 dedicarás a Jehová todo aquel que abre la matriz, asimismo todo primerizo que abre la matriz de tus animales; los machos serán de Jehová.

13 And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.

13 Mas todo primogénito de asno redimirás con un cordero; y si no lo redimes, quebrarás su cuello; asimismo redimirás a todo primogénito de tus hijos.

14 And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

14 Y cuando mañana te pregunte tu hijo, diciendo: ¿Qué es esto?, le dirás: Jehová nos sacó con mano fuerte de Egipto, de la casa de servidumbre.

15 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the LORD slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all that openeth the matrix, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.

15 Y cuando Faraón se endureció al no dejarnos ir, Jehová hizo morir en la tierra de Egipto a todo primogénito, desde el primogénito humano hasta el primogénito de la bestia; y por esta causa yo sacrifico para Jehová todo primogénito macho y redimo a todo primogénito de mis hijos.

16 And it shall be for a token upon thine hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes: for by strength of hand the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt.

16 Te será, pues, como una señal en tu mano y por frontales delante de tus ojos, ya que Jehová nos sacó de Egipto con mano fuerte.

17 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:

17 Y luego que Faraón dejó ir al pueblo, Dios no los llevó por el camino de la tierra de los filisteos, que estaba cerca, porque dijo Dios: No sea que se arrepienta el pueblo cuando vea la guerra y se vuelva a Egipto.

18 But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.

18 Mas hizo Dios que el pueblo diera un rodeo por el camino del desierto del mar Rojo. Y subieron los hijos de Israel de Egipto armados.

19 And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you.

19 Tomó también consigo Moisés los huesos de José, el que había hecho jurar a los hijos de Israel, diciendo: Dios ciertamente os visitará, y haréis subir mis huesos de aquí con vosotros.

20 And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.

20 Y partieron de Sucot y acamparon en Etam, a la entrada del desierto.

21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:

21 Y Jehová iba delante de ellos, de día en una columna de nube para guiarlos por el camino, y de noche en una columna de fuego para alumbrarlos, a fin de que anduviesen de día y de noche.

22 He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

22 Nunca se apartó de delante del pueblo la columna de nube de día, ni de noche la columna de fuego.
