1 And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.

1 Y mandó Moisés, con los ancianos de Israel, al pueblo, diciendo: Guardaréis todos los mandamientos que yo os prescribo hoy.

2 And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaster them with plaster:

2 Y acontecerá que el día en que paséis el Jordán a la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da, levantarás piedras grandes, las cuales encalarás con cal,

3 And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee.

3 y escribirás en ellas todas las palabras de esta ley, cuando hayas pasado para entrar en la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da, tierra que fluye leche y miel, como Jehová, el Dios de tus padres, te ha dicho.

4 Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaster them with plaster.

4 Acontecerá, pues, cuando hayáis pasado el Jordán, que levantaréis estas piedras que yo os mando hoy, en el monte Ebal, y las encalaréis con cal.

5 And there shalt thou build an altar unto the LORD thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.

5 Y edificarás allí un altar a Jehová tu Dios, un altar de piedras; no alzarás sobre ellas herramientas de hierro.

6 Thou shalt build the altar of the LORD thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD thy God:

6 De piedras enteras edificarás el altar de Jehová tu Dios; y ofrecerás sobre él holocausto a Jehová tu Dios,

7 And thou shalt offer peace offerings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before the LORD thy God.

7 y sacrificarás ofrendas de paz, y comerás allí; y te alegrarás delante de Jehová tu Dios.

8 And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.

8 Y escribirás muy claramente en las piedras todas las palabras de esta ley.

9 And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the LORD thy God.

9 Y Moisés, con los sacerdotes levitas, habló a todo Israel, diciendo: Guarda silencio y escucha, oh Israel. Hoy has venido a ser pueblo de Jehová tu Dios.

10 Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

10 Escucharás, pues, la voz de Jehová tu Dios, y cumplirás sus mandamientos y sus estatutos que yo te ordeno hoy.

11 And Moses charged the people the same day, saying,

11 Y mandó Moisés al pueblo en aquel día, diciendo:

12 These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:

12 Estos estarán sobre el monte Gerizim para bendecir al pueblo, cuando hayáis pasado el Jordán: Simeón, y Leví, y Judá, e Isacar, y José y Benjamín.

13 And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.

13 Y estos estarán en el monte Ebal para pronunciar la maldición: Rubén, Gad, y Aser, y Zabulón, Dan y Neftalí.

14 And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,

14 Y hablarán los levitas y dirán a todo hombre de Israel en alta voz:

15 Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.

15 Maldito el hombre que haga escultura o imagen de fundición, abominación a Jehová, obra de mano de artífice, y la ponga en lugar oculto. Y todo el pueblo responderá y dirá: Amén.

16 Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

16 Maldito el que deshonre a su padre o a su madre. Y dirá todo el pueblo: Amén.

17 Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.

17 Maldito el que reduzca el lindero de su prójimo. Y dirá todo el pueblo: Amén.

18 Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.

18 Maldito el que haga errar al ciego en el camino. Y dirá todo el pueblo: Amén.

19 Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.

19 Maldito el que pervierta el derecho del extranjero, del huérfano y de la viuda. Y dirá todo el pueblo: Amén.

20 Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.

20 Maldito el que se acueste con la esposa de su padre por cuanto descubrió el borde del manto de su padre. Y dirá todo el pueblo: Amén.

21 Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.

21 Maldito el que se ayunte con cualquier bestia. Y dirá todo el pueblo: Amén.

22 Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

22 Maldito el que se acueste con su hermana, hija de su padre o hija de su madre. Y dirá todo el pueblo: Amén.

23 Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen.

23 Maldito el que se acueste con su suegra. Y dirá todo el pueblo: Amén.

24 Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.

24 Maldito el que hiera de muerte a su prójimo ocultamente. Y dirá todo el pueblo: Amén.

25 Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.

25 Maldito el que acepte soborno para herir de muerte al inocente. Y dirá todo el pueblo: Amén.

26 Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.

26 Maldito el que no confirme las palabras de esta ley para cumplirlas. Y dirá todo el pueblo: Amén.
