1 The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.

1 Los sacerdotes levitas, toda la tribu de Leví, no tendrán parte ni heredad con el resto de Israel; comerán de las ofrendas encendidas a Jehová y de la heredad de él.

2 Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.

2 No tendrán, pues, heredad entre sus hermanos; Jehová es su heredad, como él les ha dicho.

3 And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.

3 Y este será el derecho de los sacerdotes de parte del pueblo, de los que ofrezcan en sacrificio un buey o un cordero: Darán al sacerdote la espaldilla, y las quijadas y el cuajar.

4 The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.

4 Las primicias de tu grano, y de tu vino y de tu aceite, y las primicias de la lana de tus ovejas le darás,

5 For the LORD thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of the LORD, him and his sons for ever.

5 porque le ha escogido Jehová tu Dios de entre todas tus tribus, para que esté allí para ministrar en el nombre de Jehová, él y sus hijos para siempre.

6 And if a Levite come from any of thy gates out of all Israel, where he sojourned, and come with all the desire of his mind unto the place which the LORD shall choose;

6 Y cuando el levita salga de alguna de tus ciudades de todo Israel, donde haya habitado, y vaya con todo el deseo de su alma al lugar que Jehová escoja,

7 Then he shall minister in the name of the LORD his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, which stand there before the LORD.

7 ministrará en el nombre de Jehová su Dios, como todos sus hermanos levitas que estén allí delante de Jehová.

8 They shall have like portions to eat, beside that which cometh of the sale of his patrimony.

8 Igual porción a la de los otros comerá, además de la venta de sus patrimonios.

9 When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

9 Cuando hayas entrado en la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da, no aprenderás a hacer según las abominaciones de aquellas naciones.

10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,

10 No sea hallado en ti quien haga pasar a su hijo o a su hija por el fuego, ni quien practique adivinación, ni agorero, ni sortílego, ni hechicero,

11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

11 ni encantador, ni quien pregunte a espíritus, ni mago ni quien consulte a los muertos.

12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

12 Porque es abominable a Jehová cualquiera que hace estas cosas, y por estas abominaciones Jehová tu Dios las expulsa de delante de ti.

13 Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.

13 Perfecto serás con Jehová tu Dios.

14 For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.

14 Porque estas naciones que vas a heredar, a agoreros y a hechiceros oyen; mas a ti no te ha permitido esto Jehová tu Dios.

15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

15 Profeta de en medio de ti, de tus hermanos, como yo, te levantará Jehová tu Dios; a él oiréis.

16 According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

16 Conforme a todo lo que pediste a Jehová tu Dios en Horeb el día de la asamblea, diciendo: No vuelva yo a oír la voz de Jehová mi Dios ni vea yo más este gran fuego, para que no muera.

17 And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.

17 Y Jehová me dijo: Está bien lo que han dicho.

18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

18 Profeta les levantaré de en medio de sus hermanos, como tú; y pondré mis palabras en su boca, y él les hablará todo lo que yo le mande.

19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

19 Mas acontecerá que cualquiera que no oiga mis palabras que él hable en mi nombre, yo le pediré cuentas.

20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

20 Pero el profeta que tenga la presunción de hablar palabra en mi nombre que yo no le haya mandado hablar, o que hable en nombre de dioses ajenos, tal profeta morirá.

21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?

21 Y si dices en tu corazón: ¿Cómo conoceremos la palabra que Jehová no haya hablado?

22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

22 Cuando un profeta hable en nombre de Jehová, y si tal cosa no se cumple ni acontece, es palabra que Jehová no ha hablado; con presunción la habló aquel profeta; no tengas temor de él.
