1 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:

1 Así ha dicho Jehová: Por tres transgresiones de Moab, y por la cuarta, no revocaré su castigo, porque quemó los huesos del rey de Edom hasta calcinarlos.

2 But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerioth: and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet:

2 Y enviaré fuego a Moab, y consumirá los palacios de Queriot; y morirá Moab en medio del alboroto, en medio del estrépito y con sonido de trompeta.

3 And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith the LORD.

3 Y quitaré al juez de en medio de él y mataré junto con él a todos sus príncipes, dice Jehová.

4 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers have walked:

4 Así ha dicho Jehová: Por tres transgresiones de Judá, y por la cuarta, no revocaré su castigo, porque menospreciaron la ley de Jehová y no guardaron sus estatutos; y los hicieron errar sus mentiras, en pos de las cuales anduvieron sus padres.

5 But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.

5 Enviaré, por tanto, fuego a Judá, el cual consumirá los palacios de Jerusalén.

6 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes;

6 Así ha dicho Jehová: Por tres transgresiones de Israel, y por la cuarta, no revocaré su castigo, porque vendieron por dinero al justo y al pobre por un par de sandalias;

7 That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:

7 porque pisotean hasta el polvo de la tierra la cabeza de los pobres y tuercen el camino de los humildes; y un hombre y su padre se llegan a la misma joven, profanando mi santo nombre.

8 And they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.

8 Y sobre las ropas empeñadas se acuestan junto a cualquier altar, y el vino de los multados beben en la casa de sus dioses.

9 Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.

9 Y yo destruí delante de ellos al amorreo, cuya altura era como la altura de los cedros, y que era fuerte como una encina; y destruí su fruto arriba y sus raíces abajo.

10 Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

10 Y a vosotros os hice subir de la tierra de Egipto y os conduje por el desierto cuarenta años para que poseyeseis la tierra del amorreo.

11 And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith the LORD.

11 Y levanté profetas de vuestros hijos y nazareos de vuestros jóvenes. ¿No es esto así, oh hijos de Israel?, dice Jehová.

12 But ye gave the Nazarites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.

12 Mas vosotros disteis de beber vino a los nazareos, y a los profetas mandasteis, diciendo: No profeticéis.

13 Behold, I am pressed under you, as a cart is pressed that is full of sheaves.

13 Pues he aquí, yo estoy apretujado debajo de vosotros, como se apretuja el carro lleno de gavillas;

14 Therefore the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver himself:

14 y el ligero no podrá huir; y al fuerte no le servirá su fuerza, ni el valiente salvará su vida;

15 Neither shall he stand that handleth the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver himself: neither shall he that rideth the horse deliver himself.

15 y el que toma el arco no resistirá, ni escapará el ligero de pies, ni el que cabalga en caballo salvará su vida.

16 And he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith the LORD.

16 Y el más valiente de corazón entre los valientes huirá desnudo aquel día, dice Jehová.
