1 In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.

1 En su tiempo, subió Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, y Joacim vino a ser su siervo tres años; pero se volvió y se rebeló contra él.

2 And the LORD sent against him bands of the Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servants the prophets.

2 Y Jehová envió contra Joacim tropas de caldeos, y tropas de sirios, y tropas de moabitas y tropas de amonitas, las cuales envió contra Judá para que la destruyesen, conforme a la palabra de Jehová que había hablado por medio de sus siervos, los profetas.

3 Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;

3 Ciertamente vino esto contra Judá por mandato de Jehová, para quitarla de su presencia, por los pecados de Manasés, conforme a todo lo que este hizo;

4 And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon.

4 y también por la sangre inocente que derramó, pues llenó a Jerusalén de sangre inocente; por tanto, Jehová no quiso perdonar.

5 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

5 Los demás hechos de Joacim y todas las cosas que hizo, ¿no están escritos en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?

6 So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.

6 Y durmió Joacim con sus padres, y reinó en su lugar su hijo Joaquín.

7 And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land: for the king of Babylon had taken from the river of Egypt unto the river Euphrates all that pertained to the king of Egypt.

7 Y el rey de Egipto nunca más salió de su tierra, porque el rey de Babilonia se apoderó de todo lo que era suyo, desde el río de Egipto hasta el río Éufrates.

8 Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. And his mother's name was Nehushta, the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.

8 Joaquín tenía dieciocho años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó en Jerusalén tres meses. El nombre de su madre era Nehusta hija de Elnatán, de Jerusalén.

9 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father had done.

9 E hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, conforme a todas las cosas que había hecho su padre.

10 At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.

10 En aquel tiempo subieron los siervos de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, contra Jerusalén, y la ciudad fue sitiada.

11 And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants did besiege it.

11 Vino también Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, contra la ciudad, cuando sus siervos la tenían sitiada.

12 And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.

12 Entonces salió Joaquín, rey de Judá, al rey de Babilonia, él y su madre, y sus siervos, y sus príncipes y sus oficiales; y lo apresó el rey de Babilonia en el octavo año de su reinado.

13 And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said.

13 Y sacó de allí todos los tesoros de la casa de Jehová y los tesoros de la casa real, y rompió en pedazos todos los utensilios de oro que había hecho Salomón, rey de Israel, en la casa de Jehová, como Jehová había dicho.

14 And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.

14 Y se llevó en cautiverio a toda Jerusalén, y a todos los príncipes y a todos los hombres valientes, hasta diez mil cautivos, y a todos los artesanos y herreros; no quedó nadie, excepto la gente más pobre de esa tierra.

15 And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land, those carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.

15 Asimismo se llevó al exilio a Babilonia a Joaquín, y a la madre del rey, y a las mujeres del rey, y a sus oficiales y a los poderosos de la tierra; los llevó cautivos de Jerusalén a Babilonia.

16 And all the men of might, even seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all that were strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.

16 A todos los hombres de guerra, que fueron siete mil, y a los artesanos y herreros, que fueron mil, y a todos los fuertes y aptos para la guerra, se llevó cautivos el rey de Babilonia.

17 And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his father's brother king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.

17 Y el rey de Babilonia puso como rey en lugar de Joaquín a Matanías, su tío, y le cambió el nombre por el de Sedequías.

18 Zedekiah was twenty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

18 Sedequías tenía veintiún años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó en Jerusalén once años. El nombre de su madre era Hamutal hija de Jeremías, de Libna.

19 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.

19 E hizo lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová, conforme a todo lo que había hecho Joacim.

20 For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

20 Por motivo de la ira de Jehová, sucedió esto en Jerusalén y en Judá, hasta que los echó de su presencia. Y Sedequías se rebeló contra el rey de Babilonia.
