1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.

1 Y cuando la reina de Sabá oyó de la fama de Salomón, vino a Jerusalén con un séquito muy grande, con camellos cargados de especias, y oro en abundancia y piedras preciosas, para probar a Salomón con preguntas difíciles. Y cuando llegó ante Salomón, habló con él de todo lo que tenía en su corazón.

2 And Solomon told her all her questions: and there was nothing hid from Solomon which he told her not.

2 Y Salomón le contestó a todas sus preguntas; ninguna cosa quedó que Salomón no le declarase.

3 And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,

3 Y cuando la reina de Sabá vio la sabiduría de Salomón y la casa que había edificado,

4 And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel; his cupbearers also, and their apparel; and his ascent by which he went up into the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.

4 y la comida de su mesa, y los asientos que ocupaban sus siervos, y la apariencia de los que le servían y los vestidos de ellos, y sus coperos y sus vestidos, y su escalinata por donde subía para ofrecer holocaustos a la casa de Jehová, se quedó sin aliento.

5 And she said to the king, It was a true report which I heard in mine own land of thine acts, and of thy wisdom:

5 Y dijo al rey: Es verdad lo que había oído en mi tierra de tus cosas y de tu sabiduría;

6 Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard.

6 pero yo no creía las palabras de ellos, hasta que he venido, y mis ojos han visto; y he aquí que ni aun la mitad de la grandeza de tu sabiduría me había sido dicha, porque tú superas la fama que yo había oído.

7 Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and hear thy wisdom.

7 Dichosos tus hombres, y dichosos estos tus siervos que están siempre delante de ti y oyen tu sabiduría.

8 Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee on his throne, to be king for the LORD thy God: because thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over them, to do judgment and justice.

8 Bendito sea Jehová tu Dios, quien se ha complacido en ti, poniéndote sobre su trono como rey para Jehová tu Dios; porque tu Dios amó a Israel, afirmándolo perpetuamente; por eso te ha puesto como rey sobre ellos, para que hagas juicio y justicia.

9 And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices great abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen of Sheba gave king Solomon.

9 Y dio al rey ciento veinte talentos de oro, y una gran cantidad de especias y piedras preciosas; nunca hubo tales especias como las que dio la reina de Sabá al rey Salomón.

10 And the servants also of Huram, and the servants of Solomon, which brought gold from Ophir, brought algum trees and precious stones.

10 También los siervos de Hiram y los siervos de Salomón, que habían traído el oro de Ofir, trajeron madera de sándalo y piedras preciosas.

11 And the king made of the algum trees terraces to the house of the LORD, and to the king's palace, and harps and psalteries for singers: and there were none such seen before in the land of Judah.

11 E hizo el rey de la madera de sándalo gradas en la casa de Jehová y en la casa del rey, y arpas y salterios para los cantores; nunca en la tierra de Judá se había visto madera semejante.

12 And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which she had brought unto the king. So she turned, and went away to her own land, she and her servants.

12 Y el rey Salomón dio a la reina de Sabá todo lo que ella quiso y todo lo que ella le pidió, más de lo que ella había traído al rey. Después se volvió y se fue a su tierra con sus siervos.

13 Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold;

13 Y el peso del oro que Salomón recibía cada año era seiscientos sesenta y seis talentos de oro,

14 Beside that which chapmen and merchants brought. And all the kings of Arabia and governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.

14 sin contar lo que traían los mercaderes y comerciantes. También todos los reyes de Arabia y los gobernadores de la tierra traían oro y plata a Salomón.

15 And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of beaten gold went to one target.

15 E hizo el rey Salomón doscientos escudos grandes de oro batido, cada uno de los cuales tenía seiscientos siclos de oro labrado;

16 And three hundred shields made he of beaten gold: three hundred shekels of gold went to one shield. And the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.

16 asimismo trescientos escudos de oro batido, teniendo cada escudo trescientos siclos de oro; y los puso el rey en la Casa del Bosque del Líbano.

17 Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.

17 Además, el rey hizo un gran trono de marfil y lo recubrió de oro puro.

18 And there were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and stays on each side of the sitting place, and two lions standing by the stays:

18 Y el trono tenía seis gradas con un estrado de oro fijado al trono, y brazos a uno y otro lado del asiento, y dos leones que estaban junto a los brazos.

19 And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps. There was not the like made in any kingdom.

19 Había también allí doce leones sobre las seis gradas a uno y otro lado. Jamás fue hecho trono semejante en reino alguno.

20 And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: none were of silver; it was not any thing accounted of in the days of Solomon.

20 Toda la vajilla del rey Salomón era de oro, y toda la vajilla de la Casa del Bosque del Líbano, de oro puro. No había nada de plata, pues en los días de Salomón la plata no era apreciada.

21 For the king's ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.

21 Porque la flota del rey iba a Tarsis con los siervos de Hiram, y cada tres años solían venir las naves de Tarsis trayendo oro, plata, marfil, monos y pavos reales.

22 And king Solomon passed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.

22 Y superaba el rey Salomón a todos los reyes de la tierra en riqueza y en sabiduría.

23 And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, that God had put in his heart.

23 Y todos los reyes de la tierra procuraban ver el rostro de Salomón, para oír la sabiduría que Dios había puesto en su corazón.

24 And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and raiment, harness, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.

24 Y cada uno de ellos traía su presente: artículos de plata, y artículos de oro, y vestidos, armas, y especias, caballos y mulos todos los años.

25 And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; whom he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.

25 Tuvo también Salomón cuatro mil caballerizas para los caballos y carros, y doce mil jinetes, los cuales puso en las ciudades de los carros, y con el rey en Jerusalén.

26 And he reigned over all the kings from the river even unto the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.

26 Y tuvo dominio sobre todos los reyes desde el río hasta la tierra de los filisteos y hasta el límite con Egipto.

27 And the king made silver in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the low plains in abundance.

27 Y el rey hizo que hubiera en Jerusalén tanta plata como piedras, y tantos cedros como los sicómoros que nacen en los campos en abundancia.

28 And they brought unto Solomon horses out of Egypt, and out of all lands.

28 Traían también caballos para Salomón, de Egipto y de todas las tierras.

29 Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the son of Nebat?

29 Los demás hechos de Salomón, los primeros y los postreros, ¿no están escritos en los libros del profeta Natán, y en la profecía de Ahías, el silonita, y en las profecías del vidente Iddo contra Jeroboam hijo de Nabat?

30 And Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.

30 Y reinó Salomón en Jerusalén sobre todo Israel cuarenta años.

31 And Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.

31 Y durmió Salomón con sus padres, y lo sepultaron en la ciudad de David, su padre; y reinó en su lugar Roboam, su hijo.
