1 Moreover Josiah kept a passover unto the LORD in Jerusalem: and they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.

1 Y Josías celebró la Pascua a Jehová en Jerusalén, y sacrificaron la Pascua a los catorce días del mes primero.

2 And he set the priests in their charges, and encouraged them to the service of the house of the LORD,

2 Y puso a los sacerdotes en sus oficios y los alentó en el servicio de la casa de Jehová.

3 And said unto the Levites that taught all Israel, which were holy unto the LORD, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel did build; it shall not be a burden upon your shoulders: serve now the LORD your God, and his people Israel,

3 Y dijo a los levitas que enseñaban a todo Israel y que estaban dedicados a Jehová: Poned el arca santa en la casa que edificó Salomón hijo de David, rey de Israel, para que no la carguéis más sobre los hombros. Servid ahora a Jehová vuestro Dios y a su pueblo Israel.

4 And prepare yourselves by the houses of your fathers, after your courses, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son.

4 Y preparaos según vuestras casas paternas, por vuestros grupos, conforme a lo escrito por David, rey de Israel, y a lo escrito por Salomón, su hijo.

5 And stand in the holy place according to the divisions of the families of the fathers of your brethren the people, and after the division of the families of the Levites.

5 Estad en el lugar santo según los grupos de las casas paternas de vuestros hermanos, los hijos del pueblo, y según la parte de la casa paterna de los levitas.

6 So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that they may do according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

6 Sacrificad luego la Pascua, y santificaos, y preparad a vuestros hermanos para que hagan conforme a la palabra de Jehová dada por medio de Moisés.

7 And Josiah gave to the people, of the flock, lambs and kids, all for the passover offerings, for all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks: these were of the king's substance.

7 Y el rey Josías dio a los del pueblo corderos y cabritos de los rebaños, en número de treinta mil, y tres mil novillos, todo para la Pascua, para todos los que se hallaban presentes; esto provenía de los bienes del rey.

8 And his princes gave willingly unto the people, to the priests, and to the Levites: Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, rulers of the house of God, gave unto the priests for the passover offerings two thousand and six hundred small cattle, and three hundred oxen.

8 También sus principales dieron con liberalidad al pueblo, y a los sacerdotes y a los levitas. Hilcías, y Zacarías y Jehiel, oficiales de la casa de Dios, dieron a los sacerdotes, para las ofrendas de la Pascua, dos mil seiscientas ovejas y trescientos novillos.

9 Conaniah also, and Shemaiah and Nethaneel, his brethren, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, chief of the Levites, gave unto the Levites for passover offerings five thousand small cattle, and five hundred oxen.

9 Asimismo Conanías, y Semaías y Natanael, sus hermanos, y Hasabías, y Jehiel y Josabad, oficiales de los levitas, dieron a los levitas para los sacrificios de la Pascua cinco mil ovejas y quinientos novillos.

10 So the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the king's commandment.

10 Así fue preparado el servicio, y los sacerdotes se colocaron en sus puestos, y asimismo los levitas en sus grupos, conforme al mandato del rey.

11 And they killed the passover, and the priests sprinkled the blood from their hands, and the Levites flayed them.

11 Y sacrificaron la Pascua; y los sacerdotes rociaban la sangre recibida de manos de los levitas, y los levitas desollaban los animales.

12 And they removed the burnt offerings, that they might give according to the divisions of the families of the people, to offer unto the LORD, as it is written in the book of Moses. And so did they with the oxen.

12 Tomaron luego del holocausto, para dar conforme a los grupos de las casas paternas de los hijos del pueblo, a fin de que ofreciesen a Jehová, según está escrito en el libro de Moisés; y asimismo tomaron de los novillos.

13 And they roasted the passover with fire according to the ordinance: but the other holy offerings sod they in pots, and in caldrons, and in pans, and divided them speedily among all the people.

13 Y asaron la Pascua al fuego según la ordenanza; pero lo que había sido santificado lo cocieron en ollas, en calderos y sartenes, y lo repartieron rápidamente a todo el pueblo.

14 And afterward they made ready for themselves, and for the priests: because the priests the sons of Aaron were busied in offering of burnt offerings and the fat until night; therefore the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the priests the sons of Aaron.

14 Y después prepararon para sí y para los sacerdotes, porque los sacerdotes, hijos de Aarón, estuvieron ocupados hasta la noche en el sacrificio de los holocaustos y de la grasa; por tanto, los levitas prepararon para sí y para los sacerdotes, hijos de Aarón.

15 And the singers the sons of Asaph were in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king's seer; and the porters waited at every gate; they might not depart from their service; for their brethren the Levites prepared for them.

15 Asimismo los cantores, los hijos de Asaf, estaban en su puesto, conforme al mandato de David, y de Asaf, y de Hemán y de Jedutún, el vidente del rey; también los porteros estaban en cada puerta; y no era menester que se apartasen de su ministerio, porque sus hermanos los levitas preparaban para ellos.

16 So all the service of the LORD was prepared the same day, to keep the passover, and to offer burnt offerings upon the altar of the LORD, according to the commandment of king Josiah.

16 Así fue preparado todo el servicio de Jehová en aquel día, para celebrar la Pascua y para ofrecer los holocaustos sobre el altar de Jehová, conforme al mandato del rey Josías.

17 And the children of Israel that were present kept the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.

17 Y los hijos de Israel que se hallaban allí celebraron la Pascua en aquel tiempo, y la fiesta de los panes sin levadura, durante siete días.

18 And there was no passover like to that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all the kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah kept, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

18 No se había celebrado una Pascua como esta en Israel desde los días del profeta Samuel; ni ningún rey de Israel celebró una Pascua tal como la que celebró el rey Josías, y los sacerdotes y los levitas, y todo Judá e Israel, los que se hallaban allí, y los moradores de Jerusalén.

19 In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah was this passover kept.

19 Esta Pascua fue celebrada en el año dieciocho del reinado de Josías.

20 After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Carchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him.

20 Después de todas estas cosas, tras haber reparado Josías la casa, Necao, rey de Egipto, subió para hacer la guerra en Carquemis, junto al Éufrates; y salió Josías contra él.

21 But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for God commanded me to make haste: forbear thee from meddling with God, who is with me, that he destroy thee not.

21 Pero este le envió mensajeros, diciendo: ¿Qué tengo yo contigo, oh rey de Judá? Yo no vengo contra ti hoy, sino contra la casa que me hace la guerra; y Dios me ha dicho que me apresure. Deja de oponerte a Dios, que está conmigo, para que él no te destruya.

22 Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and hearkened not unto the words of Necho from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.

22 Pero Josías no se retiró, sino que se disfrazó para darle batalla; y no atendió a las palabras de Necao, que venían de la boca de Dios; y vino a darle batalla en el valle de Meguido.

23 And the archers shot at king Josiah; and the king said to his servants, Have me away; for I am sore wounded.

23 Y los arqueros tiraron contra el rey Josías; y dijo el rey a sus siervos: Sacadme de aquí, porque estoy gravemente herido.

24 His servants therefore took him out of that chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had; and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died, and was buried in one of the sepulchres of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.

24 Entonces sus siervos lo sacaron de aquel carro, y lo pusieron en el segundo carro que tenía y lo llevaron a Jerusalén, donde murió; y lo sepultaron en los sepulcros de sus padres. Y todo Judá y Jerusalén hicieron duelo por Josías.

25 And Jeremiah lamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and the singing women spake of Josiah in their lamentations to this day, and made them an ordinance in Israel: and, behold, they are written in the lamentations.

25 Y Jeremías cantó una lamentación en memoria de Josías, y todos los cantores y las cantoras recitan sus lamentaciones sobre Josías hasta hoy; y las establecieron como tradición en Israel, las cuales están escritas en las Lamentaciones.

26 Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his goodness, according to that which was written in the law of the LORD,

26 Los demás hechos de Josías y sus obras piadosas, conforme a lo que está escrito en la ley de Jehová,

27 And his deeds, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.

27 y sus hechos, los primeros y los postreros, he aquí, están escritos en el libro de los reyes de Israel y de Judá.
