1 Now when all this was finished, all Israel that were present went out to the cities of Judah, and brake the images in pieces, and cut down the groves, and threw down the high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, in Ephraim also and Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed them all. Then all the children of Israel returned, every man to his possession, into their own cities.

1 Y cuando todo esto hubo terminado, todos los de Israel que habían estado allí salieron por las ciudades de Judá, y quebraron las estatuas y destruyeron las imágenes de Asera, y derribaron los lugares altos y los altares por todo Judá y Benjamín, y también en Efraín y Manasés, hasta acabar con todo. Después volvieron todos los hijos de Israel a sus ciudades, cada uno a su posesión.

2 And Hezekiah appointed the courses of the priests and the Levites after their courses, every man according to his service, the priests and Levites for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the tents of the LORD.

2 Y designó Ezequías los grupos de los sacerdotes y de los levitas conforme a sus cargos, cada uno según su oficio, a los sacerdotes y a los levitas, para el holocausto y las ofrendas de paz, para que ministrasen, diesen gracias y alabasen en las puertas de los campamentos de Jehová.

3 He appointed also the king's portion of his substance for the burnt offerings, to wit, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the sabbaths, and for the new moons, and for the set feasts, as it is written in the law of the LORD.

3 La contribución del rey de sus propios bienes fue para los holocaustos de la mañana y de la tarde, y para los holocaustos de los días de reposo, de las lunas nuevas y de las fiestas solemnes, como está escrito en la ley de Jehová.

4 Moreover he commanded the people that dwelt in Jerusalem to give the portion of the priests and the Levites, that they might be encouraged in the law of the LORD.

4 Mandó también al pueblo que habitaba en Jerusalén que diesen la porción correspondiente a los sacerdotes y a los levitas, para que se dedicasen a la ley de Jehová.

5 And as soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel brought in abundance the firstfruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly.

5 Y cuando este edicto fue divulgado, los hijos de Israel dieron muchas primicias de grano, vino, aceite, miel y de todos los frutos de la tierra; y trajeron asimismo en abundancia los diezmos de todas las cosas.

6 And concerning the children of Israel and Judah, that dwelt in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of holy things which were consecrated unto the LORD their God, and laid them by heaps.

6 También los hijos de Israel y de Judá, que habitaban en las ciudades de Judá, dieron del mismo modo los diezmos de las vacas y de las ovejas; y trajeron los diezmos de lo consagrado, de las cosas que habían prometido a Jehová su Dios, y lo juntaron en montones.

7 In the third month they began to lay the foundation of the heaps, and finished them in the seventh month.

7 En el mes tercero comenzaron a formar aquellos montones, y en el mes séptimo terminaron.

8 And when Hezekiah and the princes came and saw the heaps, they blessed the LORD, and his people Israel.

8 Y Ezequías y los principales vinieron y vieron los montones, y bendijeron a Jehová y a su pueblo Israel.

9 Then Hezekiah questioned with the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps.

9 Y preguntó Ezequías a los sacerdotes y a los levitas acerca de los montones.

10 And Azariah the chief priest of the house of Zadok answered him, and said, Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat, and have left plenty: for the LORD hath blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store.

10 Y le respondió el sumo sacerdote Azarías, de la casa de Sadoc, y dijo: Desde que comenzaron a traer la ofrenda a la casa de Jehová, hemos comido y nos hemos saciado, y nos ha sobrado mucho, porque Jehová ha bendecido a su pueblo, y ha quedado esta abundancia.

11 Then Hezekiah commanded to prepare chambers in the house of the LORD; and they prepared them,

11 Entonces mandó Ezequías que preparasen almacenes en la casa de Jehová; y los prepararon.

12 And brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully: over which Cononiah the Levite was ruler, and Shimei his brother was the next.

12 Y llevaron fielmente las primicias y los diezmos y las cosas consagradas; y a cargo de ello estaban Conanías, el levita, el principal, y Simei, su hermano, el segundo.

13 And Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, were overseers under the hand of Cononiah and Shimei his brother, at the commandment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah the ruler of the house of God.

13 Y Jehiel, y Azazías, y Nahat, y Asael, y Jerimot, y Jozabad, y Eliel, e Ismaquías, y Mahat y Benaía fueron capataces bajo el mando de Conanías y de Simei, su hermano, por mandamiento del rey Ezequías y de Azarías, principal de la casa de Dios.

14 And Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the porter toward the east, was over the freewill offerings of God, to distribute the oblations of the LORD, and the most holy things.

14 Y Coré hijo de Imna, el levita, guardia de la puerta oriental, tenía a su cargo las ofrendas voluntarias para Dios, y la distribución de las ofrendas a Jehová y las cosas santísimas.

15 And next him were Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in their set office, to give to their brethren by courses, as well to the great as to the small:

15 Y junto a él estaban Edén, y Miniamín, y Jesúa, y Semaías, Amarías y Secanías, en las ciudades de los sacerdotes, en sus oficios establecidos, para dar a sus hermanos conforme a sus grupos, tanto al mayor como al menor,

16 Beside their genealogy of males, from three years old and upward, even unto every one that entereth into the house of the LORD, his daily portion for their service in their charges according to their courses;

16 a los hombres anotados por sus genealogías, de tres años arriba, a todos los que entraban en la casa de Jehová, su porción diaria por su servicio, según sus oficios, conforme a sus grupos.

17 Both to the genealogy of the priests by the house of their fathers, and the Levites from twenty years old and upward, in their charges by their courses;

17 También a los sacerdotes registrados por sus genealogías según sus casas paternas, y a los levitas de edad de veinte años arriba, conforme a sus oficios en sus grupos.

18 And to the genealogy of all their little ones, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, through all the congregation: for in their set office they sanctified themselves in holiness:

18 Eran registrados por sus genealogías con todos sus niños pequeños, y sus esposas, y sus hijos y sus hijas, de toda la congregación, porque en sus oficios establecidos se consagraban con santidad.

19 Also of the sons of Aaron the priests, which were in the fields of the suburbs of their cities, in every several city, the men that were expressed by name, to give portions to all the males among the priests, and to all that were reckoned by genealogies among the Levites.

19 Del mismo modo, de entre los hijos de Aarón, los sacerdotes, que estaban en los campos alrededor de sus ciudades, por todas las ciudades, había hombres designados por nombre para dar porciones a todos los hombres de entre los sacerdotes y a todos los levitas registrados por sus genealogías.

20 And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah, and wrought that which was good and right and truth before the LORD his God.

20 De esta manera hizo Ezequías en todo Judá; y ejecutó lo bueno, y lo recto y lo verdadero delante de Jehová su Dios.

21 And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.

21 Y todo cuanto emprendió en el servicio de la casa de Dios, y en la ley y en los mandamientos, para buscar a su Dios, lo hizo de todo corazón y fue prosperado.
