1 Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the LORD appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

1 Y comenzó Salomón a edificar la casa de Jehová en Jerusalén, en el monte Moriah, donde Jehová se le había aparecido a David, su padre, en el lugar que David había preparado en la era de Ornán, el jebuseo.

2 And he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.

2 Y comenzó a edificar en el mes segundo, a los dos días del mes, en el cuarto año de su reinado.

3 Now these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.

3 Y estas son las medidas que Salomón dio a los cimientos de la casa de Dios: la longitud era de sesenta codos y la anchura de veinte codos.

4 And the porch that was in the front of the house, the length of it was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was an hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.

4 Y el pórtico que estaba delante era de veinte codos de largo, igual al ancho de la casa, y su altura, de ciento veinte; y lo recubrió por dentro de oro puro.

5 And the greater house he ceiled with fir tree, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set thereon palm trees and chains.

5 Y revistió la sala mayor con madera de ciprés, la cual recubrió de oro fino, e hizo realzar en ella palmeras y cadenas.

6 And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim.

6 Revistió también la casa con piedras preciosas para embellecerla; y el oro era oro de Parvaim.

7 He overlaid also the house, the beams, the posts, and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubims on the walls.

7 También recubrió de oro la casa, las vigas, los umbrales, y sus paredes y sus puertas; y talló querubines en las paredes.

8 And he made the most holy house, the length whereof was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits: and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.

8 Hizo asimismo la sala del lugar santísimo, cuya longitud era de veinte codos, según el ancho de la casa, y su anchura de veinte codos; y la recubrió de oro fino que ascendía a seiscientos talentos.

9 And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold.

9 Y el peso de los clavos era de cincuenta siclos de oro. También recubrió de oro los aposentos altos.

10 And in the most holy house he made two cherubims of image work, and overlaid them with gold.

10 Y dentro del lugar santísimo de la casa hizo dos querubines de obra de escultura y los recubrió de oro.

11 And the wings of the cherubims were twenty cubits long: one wing of the one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.

11 La longitud de las alas de los querubines era de veinte codos; el ala de uno era de cinco codos, la cual llegaba hasta la pared de la casa; y la otra ala era de cinco codos, la cual tocaba el ala del otro querubín.

12 And one wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was five cubits also, joining to the wing of the other cherub.

12 De la misma manera el ala del otro querubín era de cinco codos, la cual llegaba hasta la pared de la casa; y la otra ala era de cinco codos, que tocaba el ala del otro querubín.

13 The wings of these cherubims spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were inward.

13 Las alas de estos querubines se extendían veinte codos, y estaban de pie con los rostros hacia la casa.

14 And he made the veil of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubims thereon.

14 Hizo también el velo de azul, y de púrpura, y de carmesí y de lino fino, e hizo realzar querubines en él.

15 Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits high, and the chapiter that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.

15 Delante de la casa hizo dos columnas de treinta y cinco codos de altura, con sus capiteles encima, de cinco codos cada uno.

16 And he made chains, as in the oracle, and put them on the heads of the pillars; and made an hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.

16 Hizo asimismo cadenas en el santuario interior y las puso sobre los capiteles de las columnas; e hizo cien granadas, las cuales puso en las cadenas.

17 And he reared up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.

17 Y erigió las columnas delante del templo, una a la mano derecha y la otra a la izquierda; y a la de la mano derecha llamó Jaquín y a la de la izquierda, Boaz.
