1 So king Solomon was king over all Israel.

1 Y el rey Salomón fue rey sobre todo Israel.

2 And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,

2 Y estos fueron los oficiales que tuvo: Azarías hijo de Sadoc, el sacerdote;

3 Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.

4 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:

5 And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king's friend:

6 And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.

6 y Ahisar era mayordomo; y Adoniram hijo de Abda estaba sobre el tributo laboral.

7 And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.

7 Y tenía Salomón doce gobernadores sobre todo Israel, los cuales mantenían al rey y a su casa. Cada uno de ellos estaba obligado a abastecerle durante un mes en el año.

8 And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:

8 Y estos son los nombres de ellos: el hijo de Hur, en los montes de Efraín;

9 The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-hanan:

9 el hijo de Decar, en Macaz, y en Saalbim, y en Bet-semes y en Elónbet-hanán;

10 The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:

10 el hijo de Hesed, en Arubot; este tenía también Soco y toda la tierra de Hefer.

11 The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

11 El hijo de Abinadab, en todos los territorios de Dor; este tenía por esposa a Tafat hija de Salomón;

12 Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:

12 Baana hijo de Ahilud, en Taanac y Meguido, y en toda Bet-seán, que está cerca de Saretán, más abajo de Jezreel, desde Bet-seán hasta Abel-mehola, y hasta el otro lado de Jocmeam;

13 The son of Geber, in Ramoth-gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:

13 el hijo de Geber, en Ramot de Galaad; este tenía también las ciudades de Jair hijo de Manasés, las cuales estaban en Galaad; tenía también la provincia de Argob, que estaba en Basán, sesenta grandes ciudades con muro y cerrojos de bronce;

14 Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:

14 Ahinadab hijo de Iddo, en Mahanaim;

15 Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

15 Ahimaas en Neftalí; este tomó también por esposa a Basemat hija de Salomón.

16 Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:

16 Baana hijo de Husai, en Aser y en Alot;

17 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:

17 Josafat hijo de Parúa, en Isacar;

18 Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:

18 Simei hijo de Ela, en Benjamín;

19 Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.

19 Geber hijo de Uri, en la tierra de Galaad, la tierra de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, y de Og, rey de Basán; este era el único gobernador en aquella tierra.

20 Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.

20 Judá e Israel eran tan numerosos como la arena que está junto al mar en multitud, y comían y bebían y se alegraban.

21 And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

21 Y Salomón gobernaba sobre todos los reinos, desde el río hasta la tierra de los filisteos y hasta el límite con Egipto; y le traían presentes, y sirvieron a Salomón todos los días de su vida.

22 And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,

22 Y las provisiones de Salomón para cada día eran treinta coros de flor de harina, y sesenta coros de harina,

23 Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.

23 diez bueyes engordados, y veinte bueyes de pasto y cien ovejas, sin contar los ciervos, y las gacelas, y los corzos y las aves engordadas.

24 For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

24 Porque él señoreaba en toda la región que estaba al oeste del río, desde Tifsa hasta Gaza, sobre todos los reyes al oeste del río; y tuvo paz por todos lados a su alrededor.

25 And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.

25 Y Judá e Israel vivieron seguros, cada uno debajo de su parra y debajo de su higuera, desde Dan hasta Beerseba, todos los días de Salomón.

26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

26 Además de esto, Salomón tenía cuarenta mil caballos en sus caballerizas para sus carros, y doce mil jinetes.

27 And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.

27 Y estos gobernadores mantenían al rey Salomón y a todos los que venían a la mesa del rey Salomón, cada uno un mes, y hacían que nada faltase.

28 Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.

28 Hacían también traer cebada y paja para los caballos y para las bestias de carga, al lugar donde él estaba, cada uno conforme al encargo que tenía.

29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

29 Y Dios dio a Salomón sabiduría y entendimiento muy grandes, y grandeza de corazón como la arena que está a la orilla del mar.

30 And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

30 Y la sabiduría de Salomón fue mayor que la de todos los hijos del oriente, y que toda la sabiduría de los de Egipto.

31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.

31 Y fue más sabio que todos los hombres, más que Etán, el ezraíta, y que Hemán y Calcol y Darda, hijos de Mahol; y su fama fue conocida entre todas las naciones de alrededor.

32 And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

32 Y compuso tres mil proverbios y mil cinco cantares.

33 And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

33 También disertó acerca de los árboles, desde el cedro del Líbano hasta el hisopo que nace en la pared. Asimismo disertó acerca de los animales, y de las aves, y de los reptiles y de los peces.

34 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.

34 Y venían de todos los pueblos para oír la sabiduría de Salomón, y de parte de todos los reyes de la tierra que habían oído de su sabiduría.
