1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

1 Pero tú, habla lo que está de acuerdo con la sana doctrina.

2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

2 Que los ancianos sean sobrios, serios, prudentes, sanos en la fe, en el amor, en la paciencia.

3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

3 Las ancianas, asimismo, sean reverentes en su porte; no calumniadoras, no dadas a mucho vino, maestras de lo bueno;

4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

4 que enseñen a las mujeres jóvenes a amar a sus maridos y a amar a sus hijos,

5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

5 a ser prudentes, castas, cuidadosas de su casa, buenas, sujetas a sus maridos, para que la palabra de Dios no sea blasfemada.

6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.

6 Exhorta, asimismo, a los jóvenes a ser sensatos;

7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

7 preséntate en todo como ejemplo de buenas obras; en la enseñanza, mostrando integridad, seriedad,

8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

8 palabra sana e irreprensible, de modo que el adversario se avergüence y no tenga nada malo que decir de vosotros.

9 Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;

9 Exhorta a los esclavos a que estén sujetos a sus amos, que les agraden en todo y que no sean respondones;

10 Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.

10 no defraudando, sino mostrándose fieles en todo, para que adornen en todo la doctrina de Dios nuestro Salvador.

11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

11 Porque la gracia de Dios que trae salvación a todos los hombres se ha manifestado,

12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

12 enseñándonos que, rechazando la impiedad y los deseos mundanos, vivamos en este mundo sobria, justa y piadosamente,

13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

13 aguardando la esperanza bienaventurada y la manifestación gloriosa de nuestro gran Dios y Salvador Jesucristo,

14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

14 quien se dio a sí mismo por nosotros para redimirnos de toda iniquidad, y purificar para sí un pueblo propio, celoso de buenas obras.

15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

15 Esto habla y exhorta, y reprende con toda autoridad. Nadie te desprecie.
