1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

1 Justificados, pues, por la fe, tenemos paz para con Dios por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo,

2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

2 por medio de quien también tenemos entrada por la fe a esta gracia en la cual estamos firmes, y nos gloriamos en la esperanza de la gloria de Dios.

3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

3 Y no solo esto, sino que también nos gloriamos en las tribulaciones, sabiendo que la tribulación produce paciencia;

4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

4 y la paciencia, prueba; y la prueba, esperanza;

5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

5 y la esperanza no avergüenza, porque el amor de Dios ha sido derramado en nuestros corazones por el Espíritu Santo que nos fue dado.

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

6 Porque Cristo, cuando aún éramos débiles, a su tiempo murió por los impíos.

7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

7 Difícilmente alguien muere por un justo; con todo, pudiera ser que alguno osara morir por el bueno.

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

8 Mas Dios demuestra su amor para con nosotros, en que, siendo aún pecadores, Cristo murió por nosotros.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

9 Mucho más ahora, habiendo sido justificados por su sangre, por medio de él seremos salvos de la ira.

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

10 Porque si siendo enemigos, fuimos reconciliados con Dios por la muerte de su Hijo, mucho más, estando ya reconciliados, seremos salvos por su vida.

11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

11 Y no solo esto, sino que también nos gloriamos en Dios por medio del Señor nuestro Jesucristo, por quien hemos recibido ahora la reconciliación.

12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

12 Por consiguiente, como el pecado entró en el mundo por un hombre, y por el pecado la muerte, así la muerte pasó a todos los hombres, por cuanto todos pecaron.

13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

13 Porque aun antes de la ley había pecado en el mundo; pero el pecado no se tiene en cuenta cuando no hay ley.

14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

14 No obstante, reinó la muerte desde Adán hasta Moisés, aun en los que no pecaron a la manera de la transgresión de Adán, el cual es figura del que había de venir.

15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

15 Pero el don no es como la transgresión. Porque si por la transgresión de uno murieron los muchos, más abundó la gracia y el don de Dios para los muchos, por la gracia de un hombre, Jesucristo.

16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

16 Ni tampoco el don es como el pecado de aquel; porque a la verdad el juicio vino por un solo pecado para condenación, mas la gracia vino por muchas transgresiones para justificación.

17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

17 Porque si por la transgresión de uno solo reinó la muerte, mucho más reinarán en vida por medio de uno solo, Jesucristo, los que reciben la abundancia de la gracia y del don de la justicia.

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

18 Así que, como por la transgresión de uno solo vino la condenación a todos los hombres, así también por la justicia de uno solo vino la gracia a todos los hombres para justificación de vida.

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

19 Porque así como por la desobediencia de un hombre los muchos fueron constituidos pecadores, así también por la obediencia de uno, los muchos serán constituidos justos.

20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

20 Pero la ley se introdujo para que el pecado abundase; mas cuando el pecado abundó, sobreabundó la gracia,

21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

21 para que así como el pecado reinó para muerte, así también la gracia reine por la justicia para vida eterna por medio de Jesucristo, nuestro Señor.
