1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

1 Hermanos, ciertamente el anhelo de mi corazón, y mi oración a Dios por Israel, es para salvación.

2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

2 Porque yo les doy testimonio de que tienen celo por Dios, pero no conforme al conocimiento.

3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

3 Porque ignorando la justicia de Dios, y procurando establecer la suya propia, no se han sujetado a la justicia de Dios.

4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

4 Porque el fin de la ley es Cristo, para justicia a todo aquel que cree.

5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

5 Porque Moisés describe la justicia que es por la ley: El hombre que haga estas cosas, vivirá por ellas.

6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

6 Mas la justicia que es por la fe dice así: No digas en tu corazón: ¿Quién subirá al cielo? (esto es, para traer de lo alto a Cristo);

7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

7 o, ¿quién descenderá al abismo? (esto es, para hacer subir a Cristo de entre los muertos).

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

8 Mas, ¿qué dice? Cercana está la palabra, en tu boca y en tu corazón. Esta es la palabra de fe que predicamos:

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

9 Si confiesas con tu boca al Señor Jesús, y crees en tu corazón que Dios le levantó de los muertos, serás salvo.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

10 Porque con el corazón se cree para justicia, pero con la boca se hace confesión para salvación.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

11 Porque la Escritura dice: Todo aquel que en él cree no será avergonzado.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

12 Porque no hay diferencia entre judío y griego, porque el mismo que es Señor de todos, es rico para con todos los que le invocan;

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

13 porque todo aquel que invoque el nombre del Señor será salvo.

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

14 ¿Cómo, pues, invocarán a aquel en quien no han creído? ¿Y cómo creerán en aquel de quien no han oído? ¿Y cómo oirán sin haber quien les predique?

15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

15 ¿Y cómo predicarán si no son enviados? Como está escrito: ¡Cuán hermosos son los pies de los que anuncian el evangelio de paz, de los que anuncian el evangelio de las buenas nuevas!

16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

16 Mas no todos obedecieron el evangelio, pues Isaías dice: Señor, ¿quién ha creído a nuestro anuncio?

17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

17 Así que la fe viene por el oír, y el oír por la palabra de Dios.

18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

18 Mas digo: ¿No han oído? Antes bien, por toda la tierra ha salido la voz de ellos, y hasta los cabos de la tierra sus palabras.

19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.

19 Además digo: ¿No ha entendido esto Israel? Primeramente Moisés dice: Yo os provocaré a celos con un pueblo que no es pueblo; con un pueblo insensato os provocaré a ira.

20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.

20 E Isaías osadamente dice: Fui hallado por los que no me buscaban; me manifesté a los que no preguntaban por mí.

21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

21 Pero acerca de Israel dice: Todo el día extendí mis manos a un pueblo rebelde y desobediente.
