1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

1 Y vi un cielo nuevo, y una tierra nueva, porque el primer cielo y la primera tierra habían dejado de ser, y el mar ya no existía más.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

2 Y yo, Juan, vi la ciudad santa, la nueva Jerusalén, que descendía del cielo, de Dios, dispuesta como una novia ataviada para su novio.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

3 Y oí una gran voz del cielo que decía: He aquí el tabernáculo de Dios está entre los hombres, y él morará con ellos; y ellos serán su pueblo, y Dios mismo estará con ellos y será su Dios.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

4 Y enjugará Dios toda lágrima de los ojos de ellos; y ya no habrá más muerte, ni habrá más llanto, ni clamor ni dolor, porque las primeras cosas han dejado de ser.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

5 Y el que estaba sentado en el trono dijo: He aquí yo hago nuevas todas las cosas. Y me dijo: Escribe, porque estas palabras son fieles y verdaderas.

6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

6 Y me dijo: Hecho está. Yo soy el Alfa y la Omega, el principio y el fin. Al que tuviere sed, yo le daré gratuitamente de la fuente del agua de la vida.

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

7 El que venciere heredará todas las cosas; y yo seré su Dios, y él será mi hijo.

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

8 Pero los cobardes e incrédulos, los abominables y homicidas, los fornicarios y hechiceros, y los idólatras y todos los mentirosos tendrán su parte en el lago que arde con fuego y azufre, que es la segunda muerte.

9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

9 Entonces vino a mí uno de los siete ángeles que tenían las siete copas llenas de las siete plagas postreras, y habló conmigo, diciendo: Ven acá, yo te mostraré la novia, la esposa del Cordero.

10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

10 Y me llevó en el Espíritu a un grande y alto monte, y me mostró la gran ciudad, la santa Jerusalén, que descendía del cielo, de Dios,

11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

11 y tenía la gloria de Dios; y su fulgor era semejante a una piedra preciosísima, como piedra de jaspe, diáfana como cristal.

12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

12 Y tenía un muro grande y alto con doce puertas; y a las puertas, doce ángeles, y nombres escritos en ellas, que son los de las doce tribus de los hijos de Israel.

13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.

13 Al oriente tres puertas; al norte tres puertas; al sur tres puertas; al poniente tres puertas.

14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

14 Y el muro de la ciudad tenía doce cimientos, y en ellos estaban los doce nombres de los doce apóstoles del Cordero.

15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

15 Y el que hablaba conmigo, tenía una caña de oro para medir la ciudad, y sus puertas y su muro.

16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.

16 Y la ciudad está asentada en forma de cuadro, y su longitud es igual a su anchura; y él midió la ciudad con la caña: doce mil estadios; la longitud, y la altura y la anchura de ella son iguales.

17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

17 Y midió su muro: ciento cuarenta y cuatro codos, según medida de hombre, la cual era la del ángel.

18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.

18 Y el material de su muro era de jaspe; pero la ciudad era de oro puro, semejante al cristal puro.

19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;

19 Y los cimientos del muro de la ciudad estaban adornados con toda clase de piedras preciosas. El primer cimiento era de jaspe, el segundo de zafiro; el tercero de ágata, el cuarto de esmeralda,

20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

20 el quinto de ónice, el sexto de cornalina, el séptimo de crisólito, el octavo de berilo, el noveno de topacio, el décimo de crisoprasa, el undécimo de jacinto y el duodécimo de amatista.

21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

21 Y las doce puertas eran doce perlas; cada una de las puertas era una perla. Y la calle de la ciudad era de oro puro, como vidrio transparente.

22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

22 Y no vi en ella templo, porque el Señor Dios Todopoderoso y el Cordero son su templo.

23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

23 Y la ciudad no tiene necesidad de sol ni de luna que resplandezcan en ella, porque la gloria de Dios la ilumina y el Cordero es su lumbrera.

24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

24 Y las naciones que hayan sido salvas andarán a la luz de ella, y los reyes de la tierra traerán su gloria y su honor a ella.

25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

25 Y sus puertas nunca serán cerradas de día, pues allí no habrá noche.

26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

26 Y llevarán a ella la gloria y la honra de las naciones.

27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

27 No entrará en ella ninguna cosa impura ni nadie que haga abominación y mentira, sino solamente los que están inscritos en el libro de la vida del Cordero.
