1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

1 Y yo me paré sobre la arena del mar, y vi subir del mar una bestia que tenía siete cabezas y diez cuernos; y en sus cuernos tenía diez diademas, y sobre las cabezas de ella, nombres de blasfemia.

2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

2 Y la bestia que vi era semejante a un leopardo, y sus pies eran como de oso, y su boca, como boca de león. Y el dragón le dio su poder, y su trono y gran autoridad.

3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

3 Y vi una de sus cabezas como herida de muerte, pero su herida mortal fue curada; y se maravilló toda la tierra en pos de la bestia.

4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

4 Y adoraron al dragón que había dado autoridad a la bestia, y adoraron a la bestia, diciendo: ¿Quién es semejante a la bestia, y quién podrá luchar contra ella?

5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

5 También le fue dada una boca que hablaba grandes cosas y blasfemias; y le fue dada autoridad para actuar cuarenta y dos meses.

6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

6 Y abrió su boca en blasfemias contra Dios, para blasfemar de su nombre, y de su tabernáculo y de los que moran en el cielo.

7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

7 Y le fue dado hacer la guerra contra los santos, y vencerlos. También le fue dada autoridad sobre toda tribu, y pueblo, y lengua y nación.

8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

8 Y la adoraron todos los que moran en la tierra, cuyos nombres no estaban escritos en el libro de la vida del Cordero que fue inmolado desde el principio del mundo.

9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.

9 Si alguno tiene oído, oiga.

10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

10 Si alguno lleva a la cautividad, irá a la cautividad; si alguno mata a espada, a espada morirá. Aquí está la paciencia y la fe de los santos.

11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

11 Después vi otra bestia que subía de la tierra; y tenía dos cuernos semejantes a los de un cordero, pero hablaba como un dragón.

12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

12 Y ejerce toda la autoridad de la primera bestia en presencia de ella; y hace que la tierra y sus moradores adoren a la primera bestia, cuya herida mortal fue curada.

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

13 También hace grandes señales, de tal manera que aun hace descender fuego del cielo a la tierra delante de los hombres.

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

14 Y engaña a los moradores de la tierra con las señales que se le ha concedido hacer en presencia de la bestia, mandando a los moradores de la tierra que hagan una imagen de la bestia que tenía la herida de espada, y vivió.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

15 Y le fue concedido que diese aliento a la imagen de la bestia, para que la imagen de la bestia hablase e hiciese que todos los que no adorasen la imagen de la bestia fuesen muertos.

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

16 Y hacía que a todos, a pequeños y a grandes, a ricos y a pobres, a libres y a esclavos, se les pusiese una marca en la mano derecha o en la frente;

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

17 y que ninguno pudiese comprar ni vender, sino el que tuviera la marca, o el nombre de la bestia, o el número de su nombre.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

18 Aquí hay sabiduría. El que tiene entendimiento, cuente el número de la bestia, porque es número de hombre; y su número es seiscientos sesenta y seis.
