1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

1 Y apareció una gran señal en el cielo: una mujer vestida del sol, con la luna debajo de sus pies, y sobre su cabeza una corona de doce estrellas.

2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

2 Y estando encinta, clamaba con dolores de parto y sufría por dar a luz.

3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

3 Y apareció otra señal en el cielo: y he aquí, un gran dragón rojo que tenía siete cabezas y diez cuernos, y en sus cabezas, siete diademas.

4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

4 Y su cola arrastraba la tercera parte de las estrellas del cielo, y las arrojó sobre la tierra. Y el dragón se paró delante de la mujer que había dado a luz, a fin de devorar a su hijo en cuanto naciese.

5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

5 Y ella dio a luz un hijo varón que había de regir a todas las naciones con vara de hierro; y su hijo fue arrebatado hasta Dios y hasta su trono.

6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

6 Y la mujer huyó al desierto, donde tenía un lugar preparado por Dios, para que allí la sustentasen durante mil doscientos sesenta días.

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

7 Y hubo una gran batalla en el cielo: Miguel y sus ángeles luchaban contra el dragón; y luchaban el dragón y sus ángeles,

8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

8 pero no prevalecieron, ni fue hallado más su lugar en el cielo.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

9 Y fue lanzado fuera aquel gran dragón, la serpiente antigua, que se llama Diablo y Satanás, quien engaña a todo el mundo; fue arrojado a la tierra, y sus ángeles fueron arrojados con él.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

10 Y oí una gran voz en el cielo que decía: Ahora han venido la salvación, y el poder, y el reino de nuestro Dios y la autoridad de su Cristo, porque el acusador de nuestros hermanos ha sido arrojado, el que los acusaba delante de nuestro Dios día y noche.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

11 Y ellos le han vencido por medio de la sangre del Cordero y de la palabra de su testimonio, y no amaron sus vidas, ni aun hasta sufrir la muerte.

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

12 Por lo cual alegraos, cielos, y los que moráis en ellos. ¡Ay de los moradores de la tierra y del mar!, porque el diablo ha descendido a vosotros, teniendo gran ira, pues sabe que tiene poco tiempo.

13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

13 Y cuando el dragón vio que había sido arrojado a la tierra, persiguió a la mujer que había dado a luz al hijo varón.

14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

14 Y le fueron dadas a la mujer las dos alas de la gran águila, para que volase de la presencia de la serpiente al desierto, a su lugar, donde es sustentada por un tiempo, y tiempos y la mitad de un tiempo.

15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

15 Y la serpiente arrojó de su boca, tras la mujer, agua como un río, a fin de hacer que fuese arrastrada por el río.

16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

16 Pero la tierra ayudó a la mujer, y la tierra abrió su boca y tragó el río que el dragón había arrojado de su boca.

17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

17 Entonces el dragón se enfureció contra la mujer, y se fue a hacer la guerra contra el resto de la descendencia de ella, los que guardan los mandamientos de Dios y tienen el testimonio de Jesucristo.
