1 When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.

1 Y cuando Jesús descendió del monte, le seguía mucha gente.

2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

2 Y he aquí vino un leproso y le adoraba, diciendo: Señor, si quieres, puedes limpiarme.

3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

3 Y extendiendo Jesús su mano, le tocó, diciendo: Quiero; sé limpio. Y al instante su lepra fue limpiada.

4 And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

4 Entonces Jesús le dijo: Mira, no lo digas a nadie; sino ve, muéstrate al sacerdote y presenta la ofrenda que mandó Moisés, para testimonio a ellos.

5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,

5 Y cuando entró Jesús en Capernaúm, vino a él un centurión, rogándole

6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.

6 y diciendo: Señor, mi criado yace en casa, paralítico, gravemente atormentado.

7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.

7 Y Jesús le dijo: Yo iré y le sanaré.

8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

8 Y respondió el centurión y dijo: Señor, no soy digno de que entres bajo mi techo; mas solamente di la palabra, y mi criado será sanado.

9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

9 Porque también yo soy hombre bajo autoridad y tengo soldados bajo mi mando; y digo a este: Ve, y va; y al otro: Ven, y viene; y a mi siervo: Haz esto, y lo hace.

10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

10 Y cuando Jesús lo oyó, se maravilló y dijo a los que le seguían: De cierto os digo que ni aun en Israel he hallado tanta fe.

11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

11 Y os digo que vendrán muchos del oriente y del occidente, y se sentarán con Abraham, e Isaac y Jacob en el reino de los cielos;

12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

12 mas los hijos del reino serán echados a las tinieblas de afuera; allí será el llanto y el crujir de dientes.

13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

13 Entonces Jesús dijo al centurión: Ve, y como creíste te sea hecho. Y su criado fue sanado en aquella misma hora.

14 And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.

14 Y cuando fue Jesús a casa de Pedro, vio a la suegra de este postrada en cama con fiebre.

15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.

15 Y le tocó la mano, y la fiebre la dejó; y ella se levantó y les servía.

16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

16 Y cuando era ya tarde, trajeron a él muchos endemoniados; y echó fuera los demonios con su palabra y sanó a todos los enfermos,

17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

17 para que se cumpliese lo que fue dicho por el profeta Isaías, que dijo: Él mismo tomó nuestras enfermedades y llevó nuestras dolencias.

18 Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side.

18 Y viendo Jesús mucha gente alrededor de sí, mandó pasar al otro lado.

19 And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

19 Y acercándose un escriba, le dijo: Maestro, te seguiré adondequiera que vayas.

20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

20 Y Jesús le dijo: Las zorras tienen guaridas, y las aves del cielo, nidos, pero el Hijo del Hombre no tiene dónde recostar la cabeza.

21 And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

21 Y otro de sus discípulos le dijo: Señor, permíteme que vaya primero y entierre a mi padre.

22 But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

22 Y Jesús le dijo: Sígueme; deja que los muertos entierren a sus muertos.

23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.

23 Y entrando él en la barca, sus discípulos le siguieron.

24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.

24 Y he aquí, se levantó en el mar una gran tempestad, de modo que las olas cubrían la barca; mas él dormía.

25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.

25 Y acercándose sus discípulos, le despertaron, diciendo: ¡Señor, sálvanos, que perecemos!

26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

26 Y él les dijo: ¿Por qué teméis, hombres de poca fe? Entonces, levantándose, reprendió a los vientos y al mar, y hubo gran bonanza.

27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

27 Y los hombres se maravillaron, diciendo: ¿Qué hombre es este, que aun los vientos y el mar le obedecen?

28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.

28 Y cuando él hubo llegado a la otra ribera, al país de los gergesenos, le vinieron al encuentro dos endemoniados que salían de los sepulcros, feroces en gran manera, de modo que nadie podía pasar por aquel camino.

29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

29 Y he aquí, clamaron, diciendo: ¿Qué tenemos que ver contigo, Jesús, Hijo de Dios? ¿Has venido acá para atormentarnos antes de tiempo?

30 And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.

30 Y estaba paciendo lejos de ellos un hato de muchos cerdos.

31 So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.

31 Y los demonios le rogaron, diciendo: Si nos echas fuera, permítenos ir a aquel hato de cerdos.

32 And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.

32 Y les dijo: Id. Y ellos salieron y se fueron a aquel hato de cerdos; y he aquí, todo el hato de cerdos se precipitó al mar por un despeñadero, y murieron en las aguas.

33 And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.

33 Y los que cuidaban los cerdos huyeron y, viniendo a la ciudad, contaron todas las cosas y lo que había pasado con los endemoniados.

34 And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.

34 Y he aquí, toda la ciudad salió a encontrar a Jesús; y cuando le vieron, le rogaban que saliese de sus contornos.
