1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

1 Entonces Jesús fue llevado por el Espíritu al desierto para ser tentado por el diablo.

2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

2 Y después de haber ayunado cuarenta días y cuarenta noches, tuvo hambre.

3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

3 Y se le acercó el tentador y le dijo: Si eres el Hijo de Dios, di que estas piedras se conviertan en pan.

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

4 Mas él, respondiendo, dijo: Escrito está: No solo de pan vivirá el hombre, sino de toda palabra que sale de la boca de Dios.

5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

5 Entonces el diablo le llevó a la santa ciudad, y le puso sobre el pináculo del templo

6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

6 y le dijo: Si eres el Hijo de Dios, échate abajo, porque escrito está: A sus ángeles mandará por ti, y te llevarán en sus manos, para que no tropieces con tu pie en piedra.

7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

7 Jesús le dijo: Escrito está también: No tentarás al Señor tu Dios.

8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

8 Otra vez le llevó el diablo a un monte muy alto, y le mostró todos los reinos del mundo y la gloria de ellos,

9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

9 y le dijo: Todo esto te daré, si postrado me adoras.

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

10 Entonces Jesús le dijo: Vete, Satanás, porque escrito está: Al Señor tu Dios adorarás y a él solamente servirás.

11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

11 El diablo entonces le dejó, y he aquí, los ángeles vinieron y le servían.

12 Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;

12 Cuando Jesús oyó que Juan estaba preso, volvió a Galilea;

13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:

13 y dejando Nazaret, vino y habitó en Capernaúm, ciudad marítima, en los confines de Zabulón y de Neftalí,

14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

14 para que se cumpliese lo que fue dicho por medio del profeta Isaías, cuando dijo:

15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;

15 Tierra de Zabulón y tierra de Neftalí, camino del mar, al otro lado del Jordán, Galilea de los gentiles;

16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

16 el pueblo asentado en tinieblas vio gran luz; y a los asentados en región y sombra de muerte, luz les resplandeció.

17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

17 Desde entonces comenzó Jesús a predicar y a decir: ¡Arrepentíos, porque el reino de los cielos se ha acercado!

18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

18 Y andando Jesús junto al mar de Galilea, vio a dos hermanos, a Simón, que es llamado Pedro, y a Andrés, su hermano, que echaban la red en el mar, porque eran pescadores.

19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

19 Y les dijo: Venid en pos de mí, y os haré pescadores de hombres.

20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

20 Ellos entonces, dejando al instante las redes, le siguieron.

21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.

21 Y pasando de allí, vio a otros dos hermanos, a Jacobo hijo de Zebedeo, y a Juan, su hermano, en la barca con Zebedeo, su padre, que remendaban sus redes; y los llamó.

22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.

22 Y ellos, dejando al instante la barca y a su padre, le siguieron.

23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

23 Y Jesús recorría toda Galilea, enseñando en las sinagogas de ellos, y predicando el evangelio del reino, y sanando toda enfermedad y toda dolencia en el pueblo.

24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

24 Y su fama se extendió por toda Siria, y le trajeron a todos los que tenían dolencias: los afligidos por diversas enfermedades y tormentos, y los endemoniados, y los lunáticos y los paralíticos, y los sanó.

25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judæa, and from beyond Jordan.

25 Y le siguieron grandes multitudes de Galilea, y de Decápolis, y de Jerusalén, y de Judea y del otro lado del Jordán.
