1 For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.

1 Porque el reino de los cielos es semejante a un hombre, padre de familia, que salió por la mañana a contratar obreros para su viña.

2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

2 Y habiendo convenido con los obreros en un denario al día, los envió a su viña.

3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,

3 Y saliendo cerca de la hora tercera, vio a otros que estaban en la plaza desocupados

4 And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.

4 y les dijo: Id también vosotros a mi viña, y os daré lo que sea justo. Y ellos fueron.

5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.

5 Salió otra vez cerca de las horas sexta y novena, e hizo lo mismo.

6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?

6 Y saliendo cerca de la hora undécima, halló a otros que estaban sin trabajo y les dijo: ¿Por qué estáis aquí todo el día desocupados?

7 They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.

7 Le dijeron: Porque nadie nos ha contratado. Les dijo: Id también vosotros a la viña y recibiréis lo que sea justo.

8 So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.

8 Y al atardecer, el señor de la viña dijo a su mayordomo: Llama a los obreros y págales el jornal, comenzando desde los postreros hasta los primeros.

9 And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.

9 Y cuando vinieron los que habían ido cerca de la hora undécima, recibieron cada uno un denario.

10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.

10 Y al venir también los primeros, pensaron que habían de recibir más, pero también ellos recibieron cada uno un denario.

11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,

11 Y tomándolo, murmuraban contra el padre de familia,

12 Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

12 diciendo: Estos postreros han trabajado una sola hora, y los has hecho iguales a nosotros, que hemos llevado la carga y el calor del día.

13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?

13 Y él, respondiendo, dijo a uno de ellos: Amigo, no te hago agravio; ¿no conviniste conmigo en un denario?

14 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.

14 Toma lo que es tuyo y vete; mas quiero darle a este postrero como a ti.

15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?

15 ¿No me es lícito hacer lo que quiero con lo mío?, o, ¿es malo tu ojo, porque yo soy bueno?

16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

16 Así, los primeros serán postreros y los postreros, primeros; porque muchos son los llamados, pero pocos los escogidos.

17 And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,

17 Y subiendo Jesús a Jerusalén, tomó a sus doce discípulos aparte en el camino y les dijo:

18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,

18 He aquí, subimos a Jerusalén, y el Hijo del Hombre será entregado a los principales sacerdotes y a los escribas, y le condenarán a muerte;

19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

19 y le entregarán a los gentiles para que le escarnezcan, y le azoten y le crucifiquen; mas al tercer día resucitará.

20 Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

20 Entonces se acercó a él la madre de los hijos de Zebedeo con sus hijos, postrándose ante él y pidiéndole algo.

21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

21 Y él le dijo: ¿Qué quieres? Ella le dijo: Ordena que se sienten estos dos hijos míos, el uno a tu derecha y el otro a tu izquierda, en tu reino.

22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

22 Entonces Jesús, respondiendo, dijo: No sabéis lo que pedís: ¿Podéis beber del vaso que yo he de beber y ser bautizados con el bautismo con que yo soy bautizado? Y ellos le dijeron: Podemos.

23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

23 Y él les dijo: A la verdad de mi vaso beberéis, y con el bautismo con que yo soy bautizado, seréis bautizados; pero el sentaros a mi derecha y a mi izquierda no es mío dar lo, sino a aquellos para quienes está preparado por mi Padre.

24 And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

24 Y cuando los diez oyeron esto, se enojaron con los dos hermanos.

25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

25 Entonces Jesús, llamándolos, dijo: Sabéis que los gobernantes de los gentiles se enseñorean sobre ellos, y los que son grandes ejercen sobre ellos potestad.

26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

26 Mas entre vosotros no será así, sino que el que quiera hacerse grande entre vosotros será vuestro servidor;

27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

27 y el que quiera ser el primero entre vosotros será vuestro siervo,

28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

28 así como el Hijo del Hombre no vino para ser servido, sino para servir y para dar su vida en rescate por muchos.

29 And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.

29 Entonces, saliendo ellos de Jericó, le seguía una gran multitud.

30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.

30 Y he aquí dos ciegos estaban sentados junto al camino, y cuando oyeron que Jesús pasaba, clamaron, diciendo: ¡Señor, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de nosotros!

31 And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.

31 Y la gente los reprendía para que callasen, pero ellos clamaban más, diciendo: ¡Señor, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de nosotros!

32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?

32 Y, deteniéndose Jesús, los llamó y les dijo: ¿Qué queréis que haga por vosotros?

33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.

33 Ellos le dijeron: Señor, que sean abiertos nuestros ojos.

34 So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

34 Entonces Jesús, teniendo misericordia de ellos, les tocó los ojos, y al instante sus ojos recibieron la vista; y le siguieron.
